You really only need to go to the car wash that often when there's salt everywhere in the winter. Outside of that, I only wash my car when it's dirty. I like the Big Kahuna for their underspray, although the best way to do it is to get out and do it yourself (weather permitting).

I’ve got the Verizon 5g home internet. Almost zero problems. I have my Apple TV and Xbox connected via Ethernet, and all our other devices work fine off just the Wi-Fi. Speeds are nearly twice as fast.

Two things: 1) when they say to place the box by a window, the mean it. Tried to tuck the Cube behind the TV so it was out of sight, and it got a terrible signal. 2) about one a month, the signal drops off and I have to unplug it and plug it back in again. Takes five minutes to reboot. Minor inconvenience for really cheap internet.

We’ve had Verizon for years after switching from Spectrum. Transition was easy for setup, just had to coordinate equipment turnin and canx the account. Verizon is so stable and good. Totally worth it.

I have a 2014 car that I bought new. On average, I go through the car wash once every year or so and I've never gotten the undercarriage thing. There's no real rust on it.

I live out in the Quabbin area and mine works great, but my mom's two towns over and has had endless problems with them (and previously Charter) for the entire 20 years she's lived there. I think it's just a crapshoot with them on whether your internet works the way it's supposed or not.

Well if youre not in the city thats why you probably dont have issues. spectrum has to compete outside the city whereas they are the only option with no competitors within Worcester. Outside of Worcester, they have to compete, so they’ll make more of an effort for better internet.

I never play games that require fast ping times so for me Spectrum has been pretty great for the years I've had it. My biggest gripe is the upload speed. I get ~525/25mbps now paying for the premium tier so I could upgrade from 10mbps to 25mbps.

But sometimes I check buffer bloat and run other tests on the connection and I feel like if I was playing Unreal Tournament like I did years ago on DSL, it would suck.

So, yeah, Spectrum sucks if you want to play games lag free.

It's possible you might be able to improve your experience. I haven't tried digging into this much, but:

It's possible your router could be adjusted and or replaced. Also possibly you can do something with Spectrum's modem. I would call Spectrum support and get a tech to your house to troubleshoot bufferbloat.

Plug your computer directly into Spectrum's modem and bypass your router and see if games play better. That will help you figure out where the issue lies (your stuff/Spectrum's stuff).

Do you use a modem from spectrum and your own router? Or do you use a Spectrum modem+wifi/router device?

I know it's far but Milton's in Brookline is amazing and so affordable. The staff will find the perfect thing for you and you can walk out feeling like a million bucks.
