While living in TX I accidentally weed-whacked myself through a patch of poison ivy. In shorts. It was bad 😂
Never seen either oak, ivy, or sumac up here over the past twenty+ years.

I found some on McMicken Island in the South Sound. It likes dry western exposures with minimal tree cover.

I got it reaaal bad in Bellingham while hiking up from Teddy Bear Cove in 2013/2014. It was the worst ever. Be careful!

Alot of helpful comments in this thread! Consider following them. I wish you well and I am impressed you have found a safe and positive way to manage your depression! Keep going. I think the biggest danger is slipping and get hit with a branch or brambles in the eye so just focus as you are hiking, and opt for caution. If you have glasses that helps.

Yeah, it's interesting because if you were actually repenting a sin, you'd submit to the authorities and admit your guilt and deal with the punishment. The Bible is very clear on doing that. Not sure why they want an exception, to be honest. Either the confessor isn't actually trying to make themselves right with God and it doesn't matter if they confess or not, or they would willing submit themselves and it wouldn't matter if the clergy were mandatory reporters.

And you've never heard of a fake ID? Or the checker not giving a shit? Or claiming that's not you? You want to put more power in the hands of select few unelected, unpaid election workers?
People can't even be bothered to vote by mail, let alone commit some sort of fraud.

Yup. Also gtfo if you come across anything that looks like a meth cook. Bear mace works against more than just bears and mountain lions.

It's around for sure. Not as common as in places like coastal California though.

Yes, that is true. But confession is about past offenses. Should lawyers be required to report past child abuse offenses of their clients that are unknown to the police? Mandatory reporting is about past offenses, as well as ongoing offenses. Why make priests obligated to report past cases of abuse, but not make the perpetrators’ lawyers also obligated to report on their clients’ undiscovered past crimes? I’m just saying that the situation is more complex than the article discussed. It did not delve into the distinction between past offenses and other offenses. And spouses?

You’re fairly safe from it. You’ll definitely get into some stinging nettles, but that’s nothing compared to poison oak/ivy - plus it’s edible :D

Catholics are a minority in WA, so unless they wanna fuck off they don’t have enough parishioners or money tied in the state to mean anything.

Lawyers do have to report information that could stop a crime about to be committed.

Reply to Need help, can you deposit cash at a BECU ATM after the place closes? by KanyeWaste69
Yes. Other tip about BECU & cash; if you need to pull cash out you can call their customer service number and they can immediately increase your withdrawl limit to whatever you need (within reason) . As long as you don't run out the atm, it's actually a way more convenient way of dealing with cash than most traditional banks.
