The new projector and LED beams work well in a flat plane. Real roads aren’t perfectly flat so the projectors are crazy bright when the vehicle is on a slight rise.

I drive a school bus and those lights are just as bright high up. They are dangerous and need to be regulated.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! The other day my husband was like "why is everyone driving with their high beams on and not turning them off when we pass??" But then we realized they were all just seeming brighter but blamed it on us getting older haha

I've gotten the lottery fewer times than day-of permits. I don't know how to win the lottery, but for day-of permits just be at the ranger station in town bright and early. Upper Snow Lake should be one of your choices. EDIT: on a weekday, especially early, like Monday.

I really don't like being in a hurry during my hikes, the whole point of being in the wilderness for me is to forget about everything else in my life. Ideally i would only like to do 5-10 miles a day even on flat trails lol. But yeah, if i never win the lottery I guess I'll have to do a day trip huh.

Kitsap Transit to a ferry, walk a few blocks in downtown Seattle, and Link light rail to the airport. Use the transit option on Google Maps and consider getting/hiring a ride to a bus stop with better service in Silverdale.

I mostly just take pictures for myself. I tried to 'go pro' awhile ago, but I'm not that good at sales or marketing. About 90% of being a successful photographer is being good at sales and marketing...

I would really consider doing it as a day trip if you feel comfortable. Once you get over Asgaard Pass its pretty easy walking in the core and its all downhill after that. Its a big trip any way you slice it, but in hindsight I think an overnight pack would have netted out more difficult than sending it in one shot as lightly as possible
