Are the seals anything to worry about? I saw a platform with about 40 of them, and several came off and started following us. It was interesting at first, but it started freaking me out. I hear they can be curious creatures though. Thanks a bunch for the info

Get insurance before driving again, and use your seatbelt 100% of the time. Never drive with expired tabs.

I like to pick routes from https://kitsappeninsulawatertrails.com/, mainly because I’m on the peninsula myself. If you stay close to shore you can see all kinds of life below (crabs, anemones, fish, occasional octopus) and above (seals, otters). Paddling in the harbor let’s you get under and around the docks which seem to hold some neat critters.

Thanks! I moved here about 1.5 years ago and it's been a joy exploring the state. Kayaking here was such a cool experience, seeing Lion's Mane jellies and seals aplenty, various anemone and tubeworms. Can you recommend any places to go to see aquatic life?

It’s been pretty consistently in the low 40’s at night and low 50’s by day, which is pretty typical. I had on a light jacket and a 3ml wetsuit (more in case I tip into the 45 degree water than for the air). When the suns out it’s spectacular. Of course that’s the hard part…getting sun!

Driving is a privilege, not a right. It is your responsibility to educate yourself on what you need to do so you're following the laws.

Curious how cold it is for you. It came up in convo recently with a friend about how soon would be comfortable to go kayaking again. I'm a noob, but he says it would be better to wait til spring or the end of it.

What do? Wear seatbelt, have insurance, pay tabs. Ya know, like the rest of us grown & responsible adults do

Oof. The lack of a seatbelt seems like a big 'fuck you' when paired with driving illegally. Do whatever it takes to get that thing registered and insured before you argue this. It's going to be the only thing that may help to mitigate the damage.

Don’t buy a car if you can’t afford the insurance.

I need to pay extra in case I get in an accident with someone who doesn’t have insurance because of people like you..thanks.
And having a new car doesn’t excuse you from getting insurance. You can literally do it on your phone in 15 minutes before you drive your car away.

Thanks for letting us know about this!! Sent my comment to all 3.
As a disabled veteran with CPTSD I am in support of this bill. I would like to have the opportunity to have the treatment my psychiatrist thinks I should have but cannot because of an outdated law that has not been in touch with the medical community. This medical treatment can help me integrate better with my community, my husband, and family. I might be able to work full time again. There is the far reaching chance it could help with my pain disorder. But we do know that science and the law are out of touch and this law needs to be passed for people to get the help they need.

I just commented! I argued that not only would this benefit mental health survives but it would also open doors for scientific research on Psilocybin which could benefit the entire country.
