I mean, if someone said that, I’d indeed probably assume it was their coach

Right. It’s not even the most dangerous bear in the U.S. Globally hippos, tigers, some highly venomous snakes/spiders/jellyfish, extremely poisonous frogs and various living infectious agents and vectors would probably be up there too. And crocs, depending on what you’re doing at the time.

There’s a reason it’s usually the other way around. And fair to remember both these guys are college wrestlers. Sure, a grizzly is way stronger, but being 30% as strong with fighting experience gives one a hell of a better shot than being 10-15% as strong with far less, especially since it’s still taking on two people.

It’s the first “ real” woman to do so(I’m sure there’s a better way to phrase it but I mean a woman who was born a woman and has a female body). Transgender women should be treated fair, but someone born a woman had to do A LOT to get to this point to compete against men.

Did you actually read the article? It was quite uplifting.

Respectable enough. Glad it wasn't an intentional walk or some other "message". They let her play, and she played. I'm curious to see how it plays out.

I moved to Australia from the USA over 20 years ago. We do have some similar issues with entrenched corruption and people who will say anything to get a few conservative swing votes.
That said, although we do have 2 major parties we do not have the electoral process or first to the post voting. That means that you really can vote for the person who you want in office (perhaps an independent or a small party politician that you like) without throwing your vote away. If your favorite candidate doesn't get in then your vote just moves on to support the next candidate (or party) you listed (and so on). This lets you list a major party as the last 'acceptable' person in your list (a compromise candidate like Biden) before you put down all the people you absolutely hate (with the least reprehensible first, and the one you hate the most listed last).
There are no votes thrown away.

It's an excellent story, it's a shit article. The writing style reads like a crappy YA novel.

She only pinch hit for one plate appearance and it was a ground out to first base. Hard to take much positive or negative from it yet.

I've been to a couple restaurants where they'll just have a dollop sitting on top of the burrito or taco or whatever it is I ordered

Bar is really low for this sub these days
Edit: what's the worst imo is how so many stories posted here and r/nextfuckinglevel are literally just thinly disguised dystopian nightmare articles. Like, "oh thank God the people being forced to forage for trash to survive didn't get crushed at the dump by accident, how heartwarming!"
