>La Niña (; Spanish: [la ˈniɲa]) is an oceanic and atmospheric phenomenon that is the colder counterpart of El Niño, as part of the broader El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) climate pattern. The name La Niña originates from Spanish for "the girl", by analogy to El Niño, meaning "the boy". In the past, it was also called an anti-El Niño and El Viejo, meaning "the old man". During a La Niña period, the sea surface temperature across the eastern equatorial part of the central Pacific Ocean will be lower than normal by 3–5 °C (5.

A. Doesn't matter because it has global effects. Which you could have learned from the title article, but you didn't read it.
2 . I'm in California too. Just rode home in the rain she let through.
Finally. I'll do the minimal effort and provide you Wikipedia,
>La Niña is a complex weather pattern that occurs every few years, as a result of variations in ocean temperatures in the equatorial band of the Pacific Ocean.

There is no need to. The difference is still massive. Half a million vs hundreds of trillions is a difference of approximately 1 000 000 000:1
It isn't saying that the fruit fly is anything like a person, just that it is more than the larvae that had been mapped previously - closer to the human brain.

I mean the uplifting news would be we fixed the system that makes it so that people coming into a huge financial gain aren't having to focus on using it for basic necessities like a place to exist on this earth in............
I mean good for them and theirs but this news highlights to problem it isn't uplifting to know "yay A FEW people don't have to worry about where they will live FOR NOW"
Hopefully they squirrel enough away or into investments that will pay all the property tax and things and the family actually gets to keep the houses for their whole I've maybe even multiple generations. That's best case scenario.

Yeah mate. The countryside was already burning up at Hill End, west of Sydney, the other day. Water makes the plants grow but when the water dries up so do the plants. Now we've got kindling fuckin everywhere and we've got a hot dry Summer in store..

And you were actually pretty much right! I wouldn’t have known the word teleconnections or what they are before I started teaching the course I do back in 2018.

Reply to This lottery winner spent prize paying for families’ houses by switch182
From what I’ve read some places they don’t recommend winners to give huge money to people/family/friends but instead buy smaller gifts etc when they bring lottery counselors over to the winners to talk and guide them in what to invest it in or to handle the sudden life changing moment.
I’m presuming it’s because it’s a bit dangerous in case someone might go as far as kidnapping you or something or some other dangerous thing to get closer to the winners money maybe? Isn’t it a bit of a dangerous move by the winners here ?
