The first major election since the new anti-gerrymandering law goes into effect and we have our first democratic state congress in my lifetime. Hmm.

>"The change proposed to Elliot-Larsen goes too far because it seeks to protect one group of people at the expense of others," Sen. Thomas Albert, R-Lowell, said.
at the expense of what? being a fucking clown and taking away rights to others under the guise of religion? you can eat shit, Tom.

Everyone wants equality until forced conscription becomes a possibility.

Where people are more economically well off and more highly educated people live longer you mean? Great for the warm and fuzzy sentiment but I feel bad for whoever funded that "research".

That was beautiful lol
But policy also dictates whether a state will have money to spend. Conservatives hate taxes and social safety nets, but clearly both have an impact on quality and length of life.

Using church as a method of political control... yeah that makes sense. There is that particular preacher that I saw that looks like an actual demon. I've seen cult like things too... That faith-healing hysteria type practise.

Poor states are Red
Rich states are Blue
Policies make a difference
But being rich will do.

A large number of Christians constitute some kind of zombie religion now - it used to be about the gospel, but now it's just about serving the interests of the Republican Party. I feel like it would be accurate to say that those churches have lost their souls, reduced to just puppets - that's why I say "zombie religion".

You would hope there would be a limit to the adult to child ratio. It's scary how desperate cps is.

Just remember there are only a few places in Michigan (like other Midwest states) that actually would have gotten this through. If you visit outside those areas, you aren't supporting the people who have made sure this was passed. A lot of people forget when they travel they're supporting the politics of where they travel to because they're investing in their economy, not just the overall state economy. We're both from the Midwest and given you look like you support this and I do as well, we need to be mindful of how we show our support to different cities in the states around us (because we know there's a lot of red surrounding blue) so we have to make sure we're putting our money where our mouths are.

This really isn’t a surprise, where’s there’s gender equality; there tends to be more focus on human rights as a whole.
