My most memorable flight experience was when a pilot got clearance to descend from normal altitude so that we could get a better view of the Grand Canyon. He then tipped the wing so that we all could see the beauty. It was amazing. I know we weren't, but it felt like we were down in the canyon. There are some really cool pilots out there.

Circuses used to display "human freaks," people with all kinds of physical deformities. As public sensitivities changed, circuses did away with those acts and instead focused on artistic acts and animal training.

It seems like doing away with animal acts as the public is is more aware and concerned about animal welfare just seems like the next logical step. I don't see how this would necessarily mean the end of circuses, or why we should no longer call it "the circus."

It wasn't. There was a misleading table of spot prices published that seems to have done the rounds covering 30 minutes of high demand/cost in the UK, but unless you have some source or some info that I haven't seen, the UK doesn't have anything like the highest energy prices in the word, nor in a European context and certainly not if you are looking at consumer prices (given the Government interventions and subsidy)

I've been to a few. They still have really impressive feats of human skill. The one that had animals in it had the animals very rarely and seemed to be taking better care of them (I think some horses trotted in a coordinated pattern and an elephant came holding/wearing a banner, then left).

I'd be interested in seeing how they handle holograms. Circuses seem to try to push visuals and entertainment. They might come up with some really creative new ways to show off.
