The point is he shouldn’t have to rely on the generosity of children. He worked his whole life, retired, and the system fucked him over. It’s not that hard to say we live in a terrible economic system if it values a number over the livelihoods of millions of people

You're talking to a brick wall. His retort will likely be something along the lines of: "like I said, don't go to concerts then". The idea of including people that have some kind of hardship is totally foreign to so many people. Even when it's something simple that harms no one, takes nothing away from anybody, and they wouldn't even be aware of going on unless someone told them about it. Hopefully I'm wrong though! And I appreciate that someone still has the patience to shout into the void the obvious human compassion that should be the bare minimum standard though!

"Unions will make everything cost more and corporations won't make record profits that don't actually stay in the province but we pretend that this money actually benefits the people who it is actually screwing"
I'm part of a large union in Alberta and the government pressure to try to break it has been intense.

I always bring my taters to a metal show. You can cook them, fry them or stick them in a mash. Pit people help them mash faster

4 day versus 5 day... I wish. Worked 7 day weeks for 15 years. Most people I know work at least 6. When are these studies actually going to apply to the every day person and not the elite?

We have been dying from the moment the gametes that we are composed of were created.
Scenario A: Dad rubs one out or mom has a period, and your gametes were in those discharges, which shortly after die.
Scenario B: A boy gamete and girl gamete meet and you are conceived, yay! But wait a tik, bazzel: that means life is being created. But everything that is living is dying at the inversely proportional same rate. That means from conception, death is being created in your mothers womb, because of your fathers big boom.

Some species of spider, like the White Tailed spider, eat other spiders.
So...maybe.

Be careful if you're using them to warm up attorneys, though, it might corrupt them and send them on a spiraling path of self-destruction where they try to ruin their con-artist brother's life and eventually burn themselves to death.

Step 1 is to not be defeatist. I have a feeling the end of this decade will look far different than the first part as the stubborn old schoolers retire.

I realize spiders are beneficial but I'm severely arachnophobic. I don't consider news of new spiders to be happy or uplifting.

Because of union fees and environmental impact studies this project will go wildly over budget in the first 10 miles and get cancelled before it gets anywhere, just like the last time California tried this

The really dumb thing is that my boss has the longest commute of all of us, and he's been overseas for the last 2 weeks for his mother's funeral, but as a workaholic, he's still been working fine. I do wonder at the dissonance of "you can't work from home because it would be bad for productivity, even though I m working from 7 time zones away with no problem".

Not a bad idea, I was just thinking of stitching a pocket on the kids clothes to hold one of those tile trackers lol
