Reply to comment by DanielBWeston in A 2-year-old boy was lost in the Florida woods for 24 hours. Everyone feared the worst. Hundreds of volunteers came out to look for him. One volunteer came to a fork in a field: right or left? He trusted his gut, went left and soon heard a whimper. It was the little boy, crying but in good health. by ConquerWyoming
We don't hear the story about the person who thought the same thing but was wrong.

Oh my god. When we moved into our new house our cat went missing. We thought she ran away trying to get back to the old house. She buried herself under the covers in our bed. She had never done that (when we weren't in it) and never done it since.

This project is a massive boondoggle and a waste of taxpayer money and talented workers. This isn't uplifting news. Tens of Billions of dollars spent on a project that is overbudget and behind schedule.

Wow...about as uplifting as that story about the 80yo woman who was arrested because she couldn't pay her rent.
Great job, America!

Who knows how long for security, so arrive an hour before. Get to lax and sfo by surface car, not fun. After you land, wait however long on the tarmac because the airline doesn’t have its shit together. And jet flying is like injecting AIDS into earth’s veins

The article actually says,
>The 62-year-old came to an open field and was met with a choice — two wooded areas with a small clearing in between. Link, an ex-Marine and former supervisor for Hernando County parks, said he decided on intuition alone. He would go to the woods on his left.
Which makes more sense.

If one volunteer reached a forked path by himself it was a very poorly organized search.

I love that kiddo!
A safe space, and better crowd control for safely! That’s an amazing way to show how much you love your fans.

Yeah my thoughts exactly. Why is it turned into some drama requiring mystical woo that the guy who found him 'trusted his gut' as if there's some kind of divine inspiration, rather than just he got lucky and found him?

Oh but they do- if the fields are sprawling enough. There’s paths abound, always.
Happy the kid was found.

Hell, Metro Rail was started in 1990 and promised a train to the airport among other things.
33 years later and they're only now building the people mover in LAX.

From the article: “During the shows, a safe space – which will have qualified councillors, alongside a helpdesk to answer any questions will be available – and an email helpline outside the arenas will provide help.”
Sounds like general mental health services.

I’ve seen him on a couple UK comedy panel shows and he comes across like an absolute sweetheart - it’s hard to be ‘fake’ in that kind of setting.
