You already know the bottle neck is not technology. It is big oil, of course. They already have billions invested in oil and they're not willing to give it up until they've squeezed out the last nickel from it. So they will continue to quietly quash every serious effort to change over to cleaner, cheaper alt energies.

Fr. Apply this to any other condition and it sounds terrible. “If people need an ASL translator to go to a concert, I’d rather they didn’t go at all”.

And something like a safe space isn’t intrusive at all. Like if you don’t need a safe space or anything, how does it affect you. If you don’t think mental health is a real problem than a safe space is gonna be the last place you should be. Nobodies forcing you to experience the concert any differently. So weird

I'm not sure if this helps any, but when my mom was homeless (she was a former drug addict and without me and my sister... complicated custody stuff), the local church helped her get back on her feet by giving her affordable housing, a car and legal help to win the custody battle against my dad (due to emotional abuse). I hope that gives you some positivity. There are some people doing good out there!

But I do agree that a lot of churches are run like big corporations; corrupt, with no care for the little guys. And I really do hope your situation improves soon as well :(

One of the big issues with our costs related to California housing versus other places is our code is rightly tougher seismic code and a lot of other code that isn't as necessary but adds on a lot of cost. The other part is the cost of permits, hookups and other fees. About 200k per house in my part of the Bay Area. That gets marked up. Single family house cost is over 800K now. They're not going to get cheaper.

I'm sure she will grow, but at her age when she was found she was supposed to already be 45-90 lbs.

"At Cróga’s age, loggerheads normally weigh 45 to 90 pounds, he said. She weighed about a pound when she washed ashore. Since then, she has gained about 1.7 pounds, nearly tripling her weight."
