Are you saying that the city didn't change rules to allow 8 story apartment buildings up to one mile from transit hubs into historic neighborhoods? And that no onsite parking is required? And that the neighborhood planning groups aren't included in the process? I seriously like to know. BTW, my home is in Mission Hills. My degree is in landscape architecture and planning from Cal Poly.
What is a referendum California?
In California, a ballot proposition is a referendum or an initiative measure that is submitted to the electorate for a direct decision or direct vote (or plebiscite).

Yeah... This is only uplifting on the surface. Reality is that 1) he was forced out of retirement to start with, and 2) this impressive gesture may not be enough.

I wanted to point out that there were no Sophomores or Juniors. Which is weird for a HS sport.

We probably shouldn't have built an orphan-crushing machine in the first place eh.

Dystopian things in feel-good packages.
When a country's citizens have to pick up where its government has failed, it is a clear sign that the system is flawed

I doubt the coach would have supported her to go, if she was the reason others left.

This. I worked at a petstore and constantly had to warn people that the bowls were trash and it WOULD outgrow the bowl. Nobody listened and they either ended up having to buy a bigger tank later or it died.
I also had an old customer who had one single goldfish in a large tank. He told me he had it 20 years after winning it at a carnival and he was a full foot long and loved bloodworms. I love people who treat fish like living things and not expendable.

All I'm saying is that artists are dealing with the brunt of our social issues. It's a shame for them because, as you say, they are doing some good.

That's lovely, I think it's great when adults get to celebrate 'firsts' and not be looked over cos we're grown up. Thanks for sharing.

You find it disconcerting that people find comfort and empathy in art created by people going through the same struggles? Ok.
I don’t like this guy’s music but he’s helping to remove the stigma of mental health and possibly provide help for someone that might not be able to easily find it in their normal life.

Don’t bother. The answer is yes.
The axe man comes for us all; and the best we can do is ensure that in our final moments, we can look him in the eye and say “fuck man what a beautiful thing life was”.

It's pretty common to have a designated quiet room near the nursing station at a large venue when hosting certain concerts. It's where the medics plant the people having bad trips.
It had to be extra large when Phish was playing.

Im hoping Im alive to see the day where fossil fuels are phased out and renewables are the common thing to use for energy.
Edit: Not very knowledgeable about this stuff. But I just hope the stuff we do is good for our planet.
