This we need more of this, not giant corporations with (practically)monopolies over industries!

Honestly, I think Air New Zealand might just be my favorite airline that Iāve ever flown (and I was a Delta Medallion-level - usually Gold - flyer for like 15 years straight.) Every single ANZ flight Iāve been on it seemed like an attendant went above and beyond for me.
For example, I boarded and sat in my seat. Less than a minute into the flight, I noticed my shoe sticking to the floor (carpet.) Iād removed my shoe to look at it and realized someone had dropped gum on the floor.
While I was looking at the bottom of my shoe (literally less than 5 seconds) a flight attendant passed by and asked me if everything was ok.
I explained it wasnāt a huge deal - just gum.
She immediately took (after asking) my shoe and someone else guided me to a different seat.
A few minutes after that, they returned my shoe to me completely cleaned of all the gum.
And I never felt like a burden. Whether it was faked in any way or not, they all just seemed⦠sincerely happy to help.
Simple stuff really, but Iāve never experienced anything like it on any other airline.

> Dems and republicans are one and the same. They are one and the same.
They're demonstrably, blatantly not. To pretend otherwise is to promote voter apathy and enable the GOP's violent fascist rhetoric.
Are the Democrats "good"? - no, I'd like to have an actual progressive party that will do the necessary work to overturn corporate sponsorship of authoritarianism. Does that make them the same as the GOP? No. Members of the GOP are currently proposing, among other things:
- The abolition of all income taxation
- The abolition of all social spending
- The abolition of THE UNITED STATES
The Democrats may not be the party we want, but to call them the same helps only our enemies.

Here's a preview of the story:
Nestled in a cozy storefront in East Harlem, New York, there's a bakery called Janie's Life-Changing Baked Goods. The bakery is known for its pie crust cookies, created by Janie Deegan. Really, though, the most interesting thing about the bakery is how it changed Deegan's life.
Just a few short years ago, she was homeless and recovering from an addiction.
"When I was getting sober, I found that my life was so out of control, but baking was... just this beautiful, meditative, very controlled, artistic outlet for me," Deegan told CBS News. "And I was 25 and had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, but I just found that baking helped me reconnect with people."
At first, Deegan was just baking as a hobby ā but her friends showed her she could do more with it.

To go with that link I shared. Blumenauer campaigned hard saying he was going to get that legislation passed. And to hear it didnāt go through, and see him āaccidentallyā purchase 15k in Raytheon stock right when they decide to fund Ukraine with weapons, leaves a salty taste in my mouth.
But Iāll vote for him every time, because heās in the ābetterā party.

No, I understand that.
I think the guy up top that said at least a decade is probably correct.
Dems and republicans are one and the same. They are one and the same.
Hereās my states two democrats I get to keep in office every few years.
Rich guys doing rich guy stuff, itāll never change.

59% are for rec and medical, a whopping 89% are for medical. He could instruct to remove it from it's place as a schedule 1 substance(No accepted medical use) today if he wanted.
Congress could undo it, but they wouldn't.

How else would it be bipartisan? Americaās folly is letting the ignorant fear-based conservative minority dumb down our victories. As long as land has a vote and right wing news outlets are able to lie without repercussions, it aināt getting better.

>Ok, thatās fine, republicans own the house. So what does that mean? We have to wait till the dems are in control of everything??
Have you been completely ignorant of GOP obstruction in the modern era? Yes, the Democrats need a majority to do almost anything because the GOP refuse to work with them. If they are not voted to a majority, you will receive no progress on anything other than enriching the rich, and broadcasting lies about fictional laptops.
Blaming the Democrats for not being able to put legislation through places where the GOP are in control is insane, and yet people do it constantly.

What a great milestone for the MÄori language! I've always been impressed but the commitment that Air New Zealand has to its culture. On a recent flight, I had the privilege of experiencing a traditional haka from the in-flight crew, which was the perfect way to start the journey. It's wonderful to see Air New Zealand engaging with their language and heritage in this way.
