S. Korea is unique as far as east asian countries go where the majority of the population is Christian -- in part from a century of American missionary work, but also due to a lot of the fallout from the Japanese occupation during World War 2.

A conservative culture + a conservative religion means stuff like this takes a while to get going.

"Minoroty religion in Nigeria" could maaaaaybe be a reference to Christianity? I'm not sure whether I hope they respond with a clarification or with more nonsense lol.

That manner of speech and cryptic references gave me conservative vibes as well, so I looked at their post history as well and found a racist comment about how indigenous criminals get treated better and another comment about how they like the extremely conservative satire news site, The Babylon Bee.

If this is what I think it is My understanding of this spinal stimulation technology from listening to some reports on bbc world service the other month is that it’s already been helping paralyzed people walk again… so yeah… it needs to be in use everywhere immediately. This is the kind of thing where we cannot restrict access based on money…. Everyone deserves a chance to restore full function if possible.

I recently got into kdramas, a rare few of them are surprisingly good at delivering realistic life interactions and friend groups that you just don't see in western shows. Yet I never really noticed any kind of gay representation in the shows with the exception of one.

Decided to look it up and apparently South Korea has basically no rights for same sex couples or even gays in general. Good to hear that they are making a change.

Mine was subsidized by Ameren. They have a program where you put some money up front but the rest of the cost is paid through the savings you get by it being more efficient. They also put in more insulation in my attic.

The crazy thing is, now my wife works from home so we actually keep it more comfortable during work hours than we used to. We still saw a big decrease in electricity.

I'm hoping at some point they will have a deal for solar panels or a home battery.

I assumed you meant black market because you specified “from India”. There are several generic PrEP options available in the US from multiple countries (including India) that go through strict US regulations and are completely reasonable options. No one should order straight from India for personal use outside of a pharmacy or medical practice if it can be prevented.

This is a nice study on use of PrEP and overall effective coverage. As you can see, very few people developed HIV during this study, and most people were covered throughout their sexual activity, with more coverage among those taking daily PrEP.

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/jia2.25795

PrEP of either type can and should be considered for those who qualify, and one may be better than the other for individual reasons.

Do you have any sources that daily is better than on demand? Or that PrEP manufactured in India (which is NOT "black market" PrEP) is unsafe?

Your advice is literally putting people at risk, wtf are you doing? On the one hand you give advice that protects people, on the other you discourage them from accessing cheap and just as efficient PrEP that is accessible they don't have other options (nobody said you shouldn't get it through official local channels if you can)

https://www.prepwatch.org/countries/india/

https://www.aidsmap.com/news/oct-2018/generic-prep-bought-online-has-correct-amounts-emtricitabine-and-tenofovir (lists specific suppliers that were vetted)

> These results clearly show that the PrEP being privately sourced online from the main suppliers is fit for purpose and therefore, when taken as prescribed, highly effective at preventing HIV. Understandably, those considering ordering PrEP online have some concerns about what they are buying and hopefully this will act as further reassurance.

HIV.gov also links to this website on generic truvada availability and the first recommended manufacturer for generic is one from India, HETERO LABS LTD

This study's participants were "[mostly] on generic TFV disoproxil fumarate (TDF)/FTC from Cipla Ltd", also an Indian manufacturer

I'm not Indian, but I'm furious at your comment, casting doubt on legitimate manufacture of cheaper and more accessible generic drugs just because "iTs iNdIa". REALLY not cool.

Contractors build what customers buy, not what is smart. I'll give you a great example.

If you are surrounded by free trees, you might consider a wood-burning stove, like the Franklin style.

But what size to buy? Plus you have to gather and chop the wood. People buy the large one because it "looks right", and they have yo keep adding wood frequently.

Where does the air come from that feeds the fire? There is n adjustable opening right now the lower front, so...it takes-in air from the room. Air that you burned wood to warm.

The fire is 1500F, so it doesn't care if you feed it 20F air from outside, or 70F air from the room. People heat the air in the room, and then throw half of it away up the chimney.

Duct some air from the outside to the intake, and you will only need to burn half the wood.

The wood is free, but, you just cut your gathering and chopping in half.

Plus now, you realize you can buy the smaller stove, and sell the big one.
