I would take my dog on walks for miles up the hills and forests but sometimes she wasn’t up for it and the moment I took my eyes off her she took herself home. I called my dad in tears saying the dog had ran away, he ran out the house to help me look for her only to find her sitting at our door waiting to be let in. She then took herself to bed and slept.

Yeah, I really hope she just got lost/confused rather than intentionally leaving her new family, only to now be returned to them.

A coal mine in 2023? Should be rejected, barrier reef or no.

My thinking was more; “I forgot the way to my new home, but I remember to the way to my old place, I’ll go there and wait for my family.”

Brilliant doggo! She must've thought, this is the place where my family came and got me from before they took me away, so if I return to that place, they'll come back again!
I mean, she wasn't wrong. 🥰

The day after I commented on this Google put forward its layoff plan. Any vindication I may feel is drowned in the pity I feel for all the fellow wageslaves. I have retired (which means I too am out of work, I just am taking steps to not get another).

Gaming is consumption. People practice being good little consumers of entertainment services. There is no creation going on, except by the programmers of the game who are employed by the billion dollar corporation pushing the game service.
