If it's a case of "the cop says that the defendant did this", most people would be the same way. It is a teensy bit different when it is a cop being accused of misconduct that was not in the line of duty.

Man, I'm talking about local news. Not CNN or Fox news. I like watching to know the forecast and what's going on near me

Not bootlickers, most of us are just law abiding citizens. When I was a teenager my mother had the “conversation” with me about what to do if the police pull you over (because I’m black).

When people do crazy things like flee the police or utilize violence against the police , it simply doesn’t make any sense to those us out there who are sane and haven’t ever had any substance abuse issues.

We tend the give the police the benefit of the doubt because they deal with these types on a daily basis and thus have far more experience with these populations than your average citizen.

Call it a societal disconnect if you would, obviously if I sat on a jury I would be mostly unbiased but I’d expect in all but the most extreme circumstances to be siding with the police.

I’ve been going to the met for jam bands. I love it there. Strand has someone I like every like 3-4 months lol. I don’t get it wish there was something every week for me there.

Remember where you are. A Kent County jury is much different from a Providence County jury. A former marine and a cop that takes the stand in his defense plays differently there.

Tl;dr he’s a cop and well coached on how to walk that fine line of reasonable doubt.

Didn’t follow closely but the one clip I saw on the news was his testimony on the stand. Which.. in and of itself not being at all familiar with legal proceedings but from the movies they say putting the defendant in the stand is a CRAZY move. But anyways the little bit of his testimony I saw was typical PD training “I felt in fear for my safety and life” statements that cops always pull.. big bad tough guys (and gals) until they’re on the stand and they can express just how “scared” they were to justify the subsequent violence.

I’ve tried strattera and it worked for a day then didn’t work since then so I’m kinda skeptical of nonstimulants except maybe like modafinil which is almost a proper stimulant at that point lol. It still might not work for me who knows, never been on it and my insurance will find a reason to deny coverage

maybe focalin would be better because it doesn’t cause the NT efflux like amphetamine

Ironically the long term tolerance was much more noticeable with adderall than with desoxyn for some reason

Well sadly I think a lot of it comes down to body chemistry/metabolism. I have a pretty slow metabolism. If you can, I would suggest taking the weekends off, and whenever you are on vacation (activity permitting). This can help to reset your tolerance and get you back to baseline. I know there are also a bunch of non-stimulent medications that have come out, which are likely to reduce/eliminate the tolerance factor. I tried 2, both were a nogo for me. But that doesnt mean that one wouldnt work for you.

How do you maintain a stable tolerance?

I got to the point in about a year where 60mg of adderall barely felt like it was doing anything, and that’s not sustainable at all

I have been on / off of stims most of my life (37). Yes, once i inevitably build up a tolerance I will eventually move to 10MG AM, 5MG afternoon. It usually takes 6 months to get there. I have never had to exceed 15MG daily on Focalin. On Adderall, I was taking 20MG AM, 10MG in afternoon.

Previously Ritalin - made me super jumpy in afternoon before my second dose.

Methylphenidate/Concerta - Made my hyper-focus to the extreme. I had trouble disengaging with whatever I was doing.

Strattera- Made me super tired, I couldn't get past the first week.

Provigil- wanted to give this non-stim a chance. I took for 6 months but found it just wasn't a strong enough effect.

Eventually ended up on Adderall and Focalin. Both work equally as well for me but I preferred the lower dose of Focalin.

i could have graduated in 4 years. i took a year off of my own accord and made it 5 but that was totally on me. you did have to pay attention to what classes were offered and when and plan ahead.

i did not find that my classmates were stupid or did not care, quite the contrary actually, and i don't know how it could be any worse than "party school" URI.
