The retail industry in RI is still very new, and only 5 of 33 licenses have been granted. If the licensure gives room to 33 business (similar amount of breweries in RI), you will see at least a few South County sooner than later.

Probably fine, especially if it's a paint job rather than some sort of certified repair situation. I say put the money in the painter's pocket rather than the company. He's doing all the work.

As a painting contractor that has worked for bigger companies: small red flag. Ask for registration and insurance info. Gotta protect your butt. Never believe something that is too good to be true just because you’d like to. Trust, but verify.

My wife and I used to come up from New York to spend Christmas and new years walking around, bird watching, spotting seals, reading and sketching the landscape(me). There were almost no accommodations open, but while it wasn't very cheap, it was quiet, beautiful, and a lot less expensive than the summer. Then some travel magazine wrote about it being great in the off-season, and how you could get drunk on new years and walk everywhere, and all of a sudden it was filled with private planes and the rates went through the roof. We've lived in RI now for over twenty years and haven't been back to BI.

Only pay electric here. I closely monitor usage and monthly charges.
Received a misc credit on Dec-Jan bill - estimated vs read I figure.
Would explain the all-over-the-place recent bills and seems to total out to correct billing here.
Didn't expect to have to do multiple months of bill calculations to check though.

Check out bernon and east woonsocket. East wonsocket is mostly single families and bernon is multifamilies. The north end is big ole houses, most have been split into multifamilies. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me, born and raised there.

The difference between the worker as an individual and the company (if he is insured) can often be the time it takes to get done and the tools that they have available to get it done. It's a thing. Guys try to do it all the time on our jobs. Personally. I wouldn't shoot this angle to a homeowner while on my job. But that's just me..
