I have a digital antenna and it get's the basic channels for my area since its ground floor and much forestry in Providence. The best time my bunny ear antenna worked was while living on the 3rd floor close to downtown Providence. Got a bunch of the Mass channels as well.

Just make sure you check any properties you look at if they take FHA loan purchases - IIRC that's all RIH offers and some properties can't be bought with them.

Below are my recommendations , I've been to Philly and eaten at both Geno's and Pat's nothing special just tourist novelty, Jim's on South St nothing special, and 1 off a random food truck my 1st time there.

Charley's in the local mall's is good

Naz, Crown or Royal Fried Chicken, have a decent one steakums style.

Sax's is ok

Craft was one of the first bars/restaurants I found when I first moved to RI in 2018, and is still a favorite. I love the staff!

I have found that quality of food at so many restaurants has really declined post-covid, while Craft has had remained consistently as good as they were prior to the pandemic. Sure, they’ve had to raise their prices and make some small menu changes, but I would much rather spend a couple dollars more than pay anything for some of the shit quality meals I’ve had elsewhere recently.

We live in the Blackstone part of Woonsocket - and we love it. Some of these homes are selling for dang near a 500k tho.

I also really like Lincoln and North Smithfield.

I grew up in East Woonsocket and its a very nice area. The North End is a nice area too. Prices in North Providence are going to be higher then Woonsocket for a comparable home due to being close to Providence. I wouldn't rule out any of those cities you mentioned. The prices might be higher in general but you might be able to still find something that will fit your needs.

Paradis Ave used to have a bad reputation years ago, not sure how it is now. I always found that strange because it didn't obviously look like the most run down area in Woonsocket.

From what I remember, the northern parts bordering MA are nice, same with area bordering North Smithfield.

Take some time this weekend to drive through the city. The contrast between neighborhoods is stark and obvious. Woony has some run down neighborhoods that reflect pervasive poverty, and some leafy beautiful neighborhoods with magnificent homes, mostly bordering the surrounding suburbs, and some nice neighborhoods in between. It won't take you very long to figure out where you might want to own. North Providence will be more expensive for a comparable home, as it is basically an extension of the overheated Providence housing market due to its immediate proximity.

When I saw OP's post yesterday, that's what I wanted to suggest 😆👍

Get my meat from Eastside Marketplace (Prov), along with one green pepper, one large white onion, and for cheese I prefer a mix -- Mont Jack and or muenster and or mozzarella. (Authentic Philly uses cheez whizz, I'm told.)

Super easy, quick, and of course way cheaper and yes tastier because you can make it exactly to your own taste 🤤
