There is no way to know what home prices (and interest rates) will be in 2 years.

If you have the money, State College PA is amazing for families.
Pros: you can get to anywhere in town within 15 minutes, lots of amenities, decent variety of shops, good nature nearby, great schools
Cons: high COL, high property taxes, large student body (Penn State)
Near philly, MontCo and Bucks County are nice. I spent 5 years in Skippack, that was a wonderful area.

They are building Wildcat's Revenge and I believe it is opening up this year.

Reply to Pennsylvania’s Teacher Shortage Will Require Systemic Solutions, Report Says by Open_Veins_8
As for the underlying conditions contributing to the root causes of the teacher shortage, the report suggests a lack of respect for teachers in the U.S. may be partially to blame, citing the favorable workplace conditions and generous pay teachers receive in other developed nations, and comparing the general treatment of American teachers to the treatment of those in other professions.

I used to go to kennywood as a kid for the rides and fun. As an adult I go for the food. My god potato patch fries, the taco stand tacos, and the funnel cakes. I think last time I went I gained like 8lbs and that was even with walking the park the whole day.

It’s kind of refreshing. It baffles how unwilling Dems are to play actual politics most of the time. I’m sure it makes them feel all good about themselves, but Dems need RESULTS in Pennsylvania. The 2020 results proves R’s don’t have a stranglehold on state politics.

You can also ride one at Strasburg. Lots of options for the kind of ride you want as well.

I remember reading about that. Likely due to it being mostly a wooden track? Reading that made me feel sad, and also, very old lol.

Add a ghost tour to the list, a lot of them are pretty hokey but it's still fun when the actors/guides are good.

I like Cumberland valley, 81/turnpike to go to major cities, all the benefits of being a Harrisburg/mechanicsburg suburb area, low taxes/good school, small town vibes but nice food/bar scene.

The cost of a season ticket is only about double the normal park entry. If you're going to do it once maybe spring for the season pass so you'll always have it as a backup in a worst case scenario.

Memorial Lake is a great place to chill on a blanket or bike or walk. Swatara State Park has great hiking/bike trails. In Harrisburg: Midtown Cinema, Midtown Scholar bookstore, Suba (a great tapas place!), check out Harrisburg University's website for a concert calendar, great outdoor shows right beside the river in Harrisburg (in spring/summer). Get a fancy drink on the veranda at the Hotel Hershey. There are a couple of hiking/walking trails around the hotel. Great views of the park and the town from up there. Don't miss Central Market in Lancaster.

Yeah, they were complaining for weeks that he never officially changed his party like he promised. It really feels like at this point the whole thing was a wink and nod to hold off a Republican attempt to elect a speaker of their own until the three Democratic seats were filled.

Agree. Head to Lancaster for anything interesting. Restaurants, coffee shops, artsy stuff, nice parks, cute shops, Central Market. Lancaster has "life" in it that is not to be found in Annville or the surrounding towns.
