It would have made way more sense as the last song on the album. Being halfway through ruins the flow of the rest of the tracks

Have you checked if it was his son Jethro who died last year?

That son was only 15 so probably not. He had another son who died last year so maybe him.

Dang!!!! To me, Dawn Patrol is one of the greatest basslines of all time and a PERFECT interlude before Polaris.

It would be my favorite RHCP album if I could pick my top 10 favorites

THANK YOU. Queen have so many great tracks, it baffles me that We Will Rock You is such a hit. What a bore. It's like the song isn't even finished

I still like this song, but I agree. I don't think there's any pre-91 Metallica album that this song would fit well on.

That debut Third Eye Blind album is incredible. There are so many just excellent, infectious, and perfectly-crafted "alterna-pop" songs on that album.
In terms of your question, I can think of two 80s synth-pop/New Wave acts that are thought of as one hit wonders that actually have a bunch of great songs: Talk Talk (It's My Life) and A Flock of Seagulls (I Ran - So Far Away).

Agreed. But it could be great. Tommy or Quadrophenia work as double album rock operas on similar themes. The Wall gets boring when Waters keeps wanking off.

The Vapors
Dada
Superdrag
Drivin' n' Cryin'
Hum
Slobberbone
All not only have other great songs but usually at least two or three amazing albums that deserved way more attention than they got.

Pearl Jam - Vitalogy, Bugs is such a wtf is this doing on the album. I cannot listen to this record front to back as I always skip this song.
The Police - Synchronicity, Mother, just…why?

Came here for this. It’s the perfect album if that song is removed. Don’t know if it’s true but someone commented once that Izzy was livid about this song appearing on the album as Axl had snuck it on there last minute without band approval.

Was intrigued after seeing Wings of Desire but didn’t pursue until I got started with Boatman’s call after seeing “About Time” about 10 years ago. Love everything he’s ever done pretty much. I think I love the two Bad Seeds albums the most though. Hard to say though, Murder Ballads is amazing and Let Love In is an obvious classic. Oddly enough I’m a bit of a prog head but he’s my favorite artist of all time by a pretty significant margin.

To me the album is one of the best things released in the 90s until Porcelain. From there, it sort of meanders towards the end. Then again, maybe Porcelain is just so boring it just made me feel almost everything after was mediocre. I admit after my first few listens to the album, I’d just go back to the beginning after Easily. Might stop by Right on Time.

Metallica - kill'em all
Anesthesia (pulling teeth) should have been a b side on a single or something. It ruins the flow. I skip it every time.

Yes. And I always wanted to know why she turned so pale. Was it the Miller’s tale?
