That debut Third Eye Blind album is incredible. There are so many just excellent, infectious, and perfectly-crafted "alterna-pop" songs on that album.

In terms of your question, I can think of two 80s synth-pop/New Wave acts that are thought of as one hit wonders that actually have a bunch of great songs: Talk Talk (It's My Life) and A Flock of Seagulls (I Ran - So Far Away).

Was intrigued after seeing Wings of Desire but didn’t pursue until I got started with Boatman’s call after seeing “About Time” about 10 years ago. Love everything he’s ever done pretty much. I think I love the two Bad Seeds albums the most though. Hard to say though, Murder Ballads is amazing and Let Love In is an obvious classic. Oddly enough I’m a bit of a prog head but he’s my favorite artist of all time by a pretty significant margin.

To me the album is one of the best things released in the 90s until Porcelain. From there, it sort of meanders towards the end. Then again, maybe Porcelain is just so boring it just made me feel almost everything after was mediocre. I admit after my first few listens to the album, I’d just go back to the beginning after Easily. Might stop by Right on Time.
