If you want to play funky music, i would recommend you to buy a single coil guitar like a stratocaster or telecaster. Fender US guitars are expensive maybe start with a cheap fender squire guitar.

I'll usually listen to the album the song is off and will do a discog run if I continue to enjoy it.

49M, nothern europe. I like some of his stuff up to The Good Son. He lost me with Henry's Dream and I haven't really checked out his later stuff, although I've heard some good songs here and there. I respect his artistry, though, and I'd love to catch a show, my wife's been many times and says it's always great.

I usually search them on Youtube and see which of their songs have the most views and try those first

Hard agree! Fitter Happier brings the entire album to a crashing halt.

I love the riff, but the drum solo gets old after repeated listening

The ultimate example of this endeavor is removing "Mother" from The Police's "Synchronicity". Instantly, the album goes from "A" to "A+".

If it's your first instrument, buy something cheap, as 90% of people drop off in the first few months. I'd suggest a cheap Strat knockoff, but go down to the music store and try out a few budget/used guitars and see what's most comfortable in your hands.

I'm always surprised when I remember that When I'm Sixty Four is on that record.

Hate to say it but Rumours by Fleetwood Mac would be a 10/10 if “Oh Daddy” wasn’t there

Funny enough, the version I downloaded on limewire 800 years ago didn't have that one on it, so for like fifteen years I didn't know that song existed and I thought the album was flawless.

I love Dirt and Superunknown but….
Get rid of Half and Kickstand and Superunknown would be a perfect 10. Likewise get rid of Godsmack and Hate To Feel and Dirt would be a perfect 10.

I've seen that one countless times (first of which, hah, was in class in Colorado – after the teacher was shot, our English teacher could not hit eject fast enough) but what I cannot recall is music, just kinda a weak score. Shame on John Milius for that.
Should have thrown in some early 80s Swayze-appropriate classic rock.
