Been playing for a couple decades, but I'm not a professional. It's nice to either lean into a different creative process...or to have absolutely no creative approach and just engage with a chore.

3D modeling or graphics creation are the most satisfying of my pastimes, but I also like to mow the lawn or play videogames.

Seems like he's happy right now noodling around making a bit of pop music, never know what he'll be up to in the future. The Sound Machine stuff and the Now Now were darn good. Cracker Island was fine for a listen or two. To say Gorillaz "gave up" is just asking to be proven wrong at some point in the future.

The angriest music I've ever heard is Emmure, but I wouldn't recommend it lol.

Best recommendations are:

Beartooth - Disgusting Album, The Ghost Inside - Dear Youth, Stray from the Path - any album, The Chariot - Long Live, Manchester Orchestra - Cope, Rise Against - Appeal to Reason, Like Moths to Flames - Eye for and Eye

There's actually a theory about "iterative genius" and "instant genius."

The latter is like Bob Dylan. Who would write a song in a few hours and never revise it.

The former is like Leonard Cohen, who spent years and years revising "Hallelujah" (and still really never got it right until Jeff Buckley's version).
