i listened to this today, it was quite good. the DJ parts were seamless and the overall vibe was very intriguing. it felt both retro and modern at the same time.

Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time
Look, it's Paul McCartney, he's a melody genius even when he's making a dorky XMAS jam.

It feels like her record label is buying her albums and paid bot farms to boost her Spotify numbers because I haven’t met a single person who listens to her albums. I’ve tried unsuccessfully to. Who is her demographic?
edit: Looks like the record label bots are downvoting me. LOL.

"Panama" by Van Halen
It's overplayed classic rock, but Eddie Van Halen's a guitar god, and his talent really shines in this song.

Definitely is, but also not representative of her discography. CRJ is killer.

I’m honestly not sure what irritates me more about their post history, all the 100 gecs posts or all the crypto posts. But that’s my problem, innit?

Go back to the source and listen to everything Sam Cooke, Otis Redding and Al Green recorded (the catalogs aren't that big). You'll enjoy everything you listen to afterwards more.

I’m worried NFR is going to be a difficult yardstick for any new album to measure up against. I don’t dislike Ocean Blvd, but it didn’t leap out at me the way NFR did. Even Blue Banisters got a little closer.

i gave this a shot today and enjoyed it, the radio parts especially, but i think this album will live in the archandroid's shadow for me in janelle's discography
