She has no problem with clean vocals in metal, it’s strictly the pig grunts and high screams she can’t deal with. She compliments the skill and musicianship of the instrumentals all the time.

I'd want to give him something he could really appreciate: Dogbreath Variations+Uncle Meat.

Reply to Albums that loosely follow a radio theme by eldeniro
You’ve just got to go for the “Cruisin’” albums. They are sooper-dooper brilliantly fantastic. They are from yesteryear and each are a radio station complete with jingles and ads and great music. I’ve still got most of the original vinyls which must be worth a fortune. Look it up on the web for the whole story. Think “American Graffiti” style. The album cover followed a theme for each year.

Michael Keaton’s real name is Michael Douglas. There was already a Michael Douglas registered with the Screen Actors Guild so he picked a name out of a phonebook (so the story goes at least)

Well, I just wrote a snarky comment, and if you're gonna talk back I might just have to write another one.

Their best album, actually. So much energy and raw awesomeness. New albums are good but more planned. It's very root centric. Still good. Lats is killer.
Undertow was much more harmonically diverse. And it was prime may may.

Nothing past 2000? How does this paint a clear picture of the evolution of music. This sample size is top small.

I love this album so much I made a detour on a trip this year just to make this video (apologies if linking not allowed): https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cof7QChj2LN/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=

One song to explain how music has evolved?
I think Mozart would laugh at the suggestion.

Like, I know everyone's supposed to be entitled to an opinion and all, but when someone starts trash talking SoaD or Linkin Park I'm willing to make an exception.

Not OP but I've been listening to a lot of Powerwolf recently, they're really good.

The English actor and comedian Hugh Dennis actually uses his middle name for the same reason.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugh_Dennis: >Dennis uses his middle name Hugh as his stage name because the actor Peter Dennis was already a member of the performing arts union [Equity](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equity_(British_trade_union)).[16] He later revealed in a 2016 episode of BBC's [Would I Lie to You?](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Would_I_Lie_to_You%3F_(game_show)) that he had requested to keep his birth name as there was little chance of confusion between the two actors due to their age difference. Equity told him that this would normally have been allowed, but advised against it as Peter Dennis was the chair of the union's naming committee at the time.[17]

Not sure if your family is religious but if so check out Fit for a King, Demon Hunter, Phinheas, oh, sleeper, for today, August burns red.... this list could go on. They are all christian metal and it'll be hard for her to give you grief about it being "evil".

I'll toss in Killswitch Engage, Saul and Sevendust. I started getting more of them on one of my Pandora stations, loving it all

There was something like that with the English actors union? David Tennant said he had to get a different name because of that.

I am an English speaker and I love Brazilian and Cuban music. My favorite is Roberta Sa. Her voice is so expressive even if I don't understand the words.

I'll throw in megadeath for some goof thrash, mainly rust in peace. Judas priest, painkiller and breaking the paw are cult classics. I'd also add gojira and hail to the king as a single song. Marty friedmans solo stuff might also be worth a listen. Nine inch nails are pretty well liked, as are bring me the horizon
