King Crimson "Starless" then I would play him the GUY video by Lady Gaga. He would love it.

Fun question.I'd probably put on a full album at a time, since that's the format most of this was intended to be consumed in, but I'll give a few examples of each artist.
Some of the Beach Boys' songs - God Only Knows, Fun Fun Fun, Sloop John B, In My Room
The Mamas And the Papas - California Dreamin', I Call Your Name, Monday Monday
Sam Cooke - A Change Is Gonna Come, Twistin the Night Away, Chain Gang
The Band - The Weight, The Night They Dragged Old Dixie Down, I Shall Be Released
Ben E King - Stand By Me, Don't Play That Song
Warren Zevon - Lawyers Guns and Money, Werewolves of London, Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner, Keep Me In Your Heart
Marvin Gaye - Ain't no Mountain High, Heard It Through the Grapevine, What's Goin On, Sexual Healing
Tom Petty (and the Heartbreakers) - American Girl, Free Fallin', Won't Back Down, Wildflowers, Stop Draggin' My Heart Around
Emitt Rhodes - With My Face On The Floor, Somebody Made For Me, Tame The Lion
Electric Light Orchestra - Mr Blue Sky, Do Ya, Evil Woman
Thin Lizzy - Boys Are Back In Town, Whiskey in the Jar, Rosalie
George Harrison/The Beatles - Something, All Things Must Pass, My Sweet Lord, Dark Horse
The Cars
Eddie Money
Prince

You gotta ease him into it :-P
Also I was at my most impressionable when Undertow came out, I have a soft spot in my heart for it

I really love this one, one of the songs I've heard countless times, but don't get sick of. The whole album "Proxima Estacion: Esperanza" is great and the melody of "Bongo Bong" or elements of it keep popping up on other songs. Love this interconnectedness.

Cool, thanks! It always seemed to me a somewhat weird, alien sound, a little too off for a guitar, but I'm really no expert on the instrument.

Trainspotting OST album. Pretty eclectic and fun on a wide range of time and genres.

DOOM has a bunch of singles and comps but they’re mostly made up of songs that were used on other projects, or older versions of those songs. I would imagine Eminem’s Infinite and Slim Shady EP(97) is obscure to more people than not, but by no means rare.

That’s such a cool song. I first heard it several years ago when I accidentally left my YouTube on, playing whatever played next for a few hours. I came back to the computer and Bongo Bong was playing. Not sure how Stray Cat Strut evolved into Bongo Bong, but I’m glad it did
