I'm 17 and I mainly listen to Sonic The Hedgehog music, so no, its not weird. You just have a different taste from everyone else, and dare i say, better taste than them probably.

Music is timeless, my advice is look into every decade, even new stuff and really mull it over, see if you like it. Worst that can happen is you can better define what you don't like :)

And you do not need somebody like him around who constantly makes you feel bad and wanna have to prove yourself as valid. You do not need to prove anything to anyone. You always have a choice to walk away from people who don't make you happy. The sooner you allow yourself to embrace that the happier life you will live.

There’s nothing wrong with listening to ‘90’s music but you should explore more. There more music made today than there ever was in the past. There’s much more than just rap.

Move beyond top 40 and look for indie bands. You’ll be happily surprised. I have a 15 year old daughter that also loves Queen but also listen to current bands.

Eddie Money’s “Take Me Home Tonight” not only name-drops Ronnie Specter (“Just like Ronnie sang…”), but actually got Ronnie to sing the part “be my little baby… baby my darling…”, although not the same melody as the Ronnettes’ version.

The “old music good/new music bad” mentality is definitely a phase. Having said that, if you name some 90s artists you like, maybe I can recommend some similar modern artists.

(A.) Whether or not you like Conan Gray.
