I was just asking for a friend. No self respectin’ Maine person would need that information. Amirite?

Just picture it! An omnidirectional loudspeaker at the top blasting The Star Spangled Banner on repeat. We'll be able to pay farm hand salaries to pick the crops and feed all of the hungry!

Took me a while to learn that TOS stands for Top of Sugarloaf because that's where their tower is.

Seriously. Either that or a giant flagpole.

They've let go of 95% of the people I knew working at BLM/CYY over 10 years.
They just got smaller and smaller to a point where it's people who took a huge pay cut, cut of hours, or just syndicated programming.
Radio sucks.

Just put the extra money towards helping people with housing. This is the biggest issue and everyone knows it. It’s not that hard.

It will be bonds taken out against revenue. Similar to the MTA. However, the MTA is very expensive. It costs $10 in tolls round trip from York to Portland. PTP claims rates will drop 10% on “day one” but that’s not realistic. Rates will be higher for probably ten years, there is a London Economics Report that shows rates staying high and actually rising in certain years. Plus, that was done before the almost 4% rate hike. With banks failing (SVB), money will likely be even harder to get.
Not to mention, supply has risen 120% over the last two years, PTP will do nothing to address that. And, that imo is the most crucial issue. I will not be voting for PTP until they figure out supply.

You don't need a sticker to register it. The town doesn't care if you can't drive it if you're still willing to give them tax money for it.
You do need to have it registered to get inspected, however.

I've done this before. No problem to register but you may not be able to do it online, only in person. And your annual registration period won't restart from today (like inspections do). You will still keep your original registration date for your next registration fee due and will be paying for the time you were unregistered.

What a nice idea . How about a gift card to one of the many great restaurants in Portland . He or she can then go at their leisure.

I second this. I received one of these as a thank you gift some years ago, and although it is maybe overpriced for what it is, it hit the awwww spot and was welcomed.

I suspect you will be required to pay going backward to the last time was registered, and forward to the end of the current registration year.

It will be registered. But registration will expire the same month as normal, not 12 months from today (or whatever day you get there).

This is correct. All you need to register it is the previous registration, proof of insurance and the mileage.

You’ll be fine. Mine is always due in March, and in March 2020 I wasn’t doing much driving so it totally slipped my mind until I tried to get it inspected in October. I was able to renew the registration online, no issues.

Done this a few times, in two different towns. The only thing that will happen is that the clerk at the town office will raise her eyebrow at you, and maybe toss you a little snark.

Reply to Maine lobstermen sue Calif. aquarium for defamation by SAT0725
From the article:
"The aquarium’s 'Seafood Watch' program 'red-listed' Maine lobster last year, urging buyers to avoid the product for the fishery’s supposed role in the deaths of endangered North Atlantic Right Whales.
"The MLA says there is no evidence showing any right whale has been harmed or killed by entanglement in Maine lobstering gear in more than 18 years, and highlighted the preventative measures they’ve taken."
