Interesting-I know nothing about knotweed. Pineapple has a compound that helps with coughing and ginger ale has been my go to with illness since I was little-thanks for the helpful info, though-knotweed and elderberry are on my list to check out..glad it helped your Uncle!

Where was everyone where it stopped so early? I'm in Kittery, it was coming down in gobs until nearly dinner time

This was probably the heaviest snow I've ever had to deal with. Almost slush, but with the bulk of actual snow. It kept going at a good clip until about 4-5pm in my area.
Shoveled around noon because it looked like it was winding down. Glad I did in the end, if I had waited till 5 to one-shot it I'd be in a world of pain today.

I made that mistake with storm. Had to pull our spare car out forcefully with the truck.
The 2 4 wheel drives made it out just fine, the little RWD got buried because the ground was a little melted when this snow started falling

I'm just getting over my first case of covid. My doc told me I was low risk but did quality for Paxlovid. I got the free prescription filled but my nurse sister in law said sometimes Paxlovid is associated with rebound covid. I wasn't having any breathing problems so I didn't take the med.
I had a bit of a cold and my wife had a little worse of a cold than me but nothing serious. It's so weird how it affects everyone differently.
Apparently the current CDC guidelines are that you can go back to work even if you are still testing positive as long as you are wearing a high quality mask. Check for yourself, I'm not a medical person.
Also, the test kits we had turned out to be expired. We bought some from our local pharmacy for around $10 each and we understand we can get reimbursed from our insurance company.
Best wishes.

3 days into Paxlovid I’m feeling pretty good. Stuffy head and a cough at times. No neurological symptoms.

How long will we let this go on before we do something? No matter how bad things get, the same shitty politicians get elected again and again.

Yep I go out mid storm before it’s packed down, then clear up the last few inches once it’s just about done snowing

Lol my dad plowed the driveway once early morning, we plowed it again later in the day, and then in the evening bc we use an ATV and a side by side. Had to roof rake the garage twice so it doesn’t cave in (it’s already bowed pretty bad) and did the neighbors house twice. Only shoveled the deck and dog pen once tho. Got my workout for sure

We went out at around 3. Light snow, no wind. Driveway looks nice. Heavy snow can eat a planet of dicks, though...very hard to shovel.
Hopefully it'll melt a significant amount today.

Yeah, but when you do it by feel- timing it right while it's still coming down - it's super satisfying

In the apartment building next to our house in Bangor, they are doubling the rent for what looks to be, a fucking slum. A few residents have already moved but a few more remain until their lease is up. I can't imagine anywhere costing $1400 a month in fucking Bangor. All the apartments ive seen or lived in were fucking garbage
cwalton505 t1_jb11ppk wrote
That's pretty easy to do each storm.... just wait for it to stop snowing and see the radar is clear.
