I think you missed the point of the comment. It wasn't anti-gun, so slow down John Wayne.

Well, your original comment came across to me as if you were saying "you people are crazy, I only pay $500/mo" but it sounds like you are well aware of what most parents in Southern Maine are paying.

Low paying jobs working in the industry.
Unless you can produce with scale you’ll be struggling to keep up.

It was actually an Orange Julius before it was a Houston Farms :)

I remember a Houlton Farms distinctly, but that doesn't mean they didn't fill a vacated DQ spot. That was a long long time ago, in a land far far away. XD

Was it a Houlton Farms? I think it was a Dairy Queen.

Fell out of love with it after working the circus as a souvenir salesman. Lugging a tote full of noisy, bright junk that no parent actually wants to buy for their kid sucked. Miss it even left knowing that it was full of asbestos.

I was going to suggest that the Farelly brothers tackle that, but then I remembered they did already. Wasn’t that called Dumb and Dumber?

I don’t even live in Brunswick. I drive there from Yarmouth because the daycare prices are so insane everywhere. Plus they’re great with my kiddo so I can’t complain. (Other than being tired from having to wake up early to drive to Brunswick 😅)

That mall opening in the 90's was a huge event! Not having to go to Bangor for a mall experience was like the greatest thing ever! Very sad to see it go, but that's the mall trend these days everywhere.

I generally wouldn’t suggest a big box store but the Brunswick Lowe’s appliance department is staffed by really nice people and they actually pick up the phone if you call and dial the extension for that department. They seem to have the most scratch and dents because of their volume. Agren is also worth calling. I would avoid ReStore for appliances.

Lmfao what narrative? I used to be fully about it being how they were raised. Now that I've grown up more and seen the statistics &horrors, I know the difference.

I think you have, by far, the cheapest daycare in Southern Maine assuming that is the retail rate and isn't being subsidized. My sister-in-law is about to pay well over double that so I'll tell her to consider looking one town north instead of one town south.
