Calling the dog "a pitbull type" is irresponsible journalism. There are many dogs that could be described that way.

I'm very sad for the girl, but I'm also sad for the dogs who get misrepresented over and over in the media.

And shame on people who immediately jump to "of course it's a pitbull" conclusions.

So should all breeds that are responsible for fatalities be banned or euthanized? Because I looked it up, pits (dna tests are not done to prove this, so categorizing these dogs is anecdotal) were responsible for 284 fatalities, or 65% of total. You then have German Shepherds who were responsible for 111 fatal attacks last year. Should those all be banned or euthanized (I’m not saying that you’re suggesting this, simply going with the tenor of this thread). Because if anyone keeps going down this list you eventually get to labs and anything else that isn’t a 3lb ankle biter.

German shepherds are nothing like pit bulls though. You rarely if every hear of one randomly mauling a kid. We have had a couple German shepherds over the years and they are smart sweet and friendly. They only thing our dogs would have done to a kid is steal there food. They use the because they are smart and can be trained. They follow commands. Pit bulls won’t stop on command as the many videos out there show. Once they are attacking they are almost impossible to stop.

$15/ hr x 4 hours in the AM is $300 a week, that's more expensive than a full time spot. Good luck finding someone for cheaper 5 days a week.

Changing work schedules is not an option as an educator.

you need:

traps - 10 to 30 bucks a pop line & hooks - cheap. get 20 lb test & a dozen or so snell or treble hooks auger - you can get a hand tool for 60 - 80 bucks bait - live Shriners are ideal, but worms work too. hook the Shriners right under the dorsal fine. buy a 10 gallon tank to keep them in your basement

It’s funny you think spanking kids was acceptable 20 years ago, what are you 15? It’s also funny you think I’m religious. I’m actually an evolutionary biologist so your assumption couldn’t have been more wrong.

So if my kid is trans I either have to deal with them having a higher rate of suicide or them having a normal rate of suicide? Hmm well that settles it for me, I’ll just teach them it’s not possible to be trans so that way they’ll stay within the normal rate for suicide.

I have no problem with trans people, I’ve been watching Blaire White on yt for years way before she became political. I have a problem with people saying it’s ok for kids to be on hormones/hormone blockers and that it’s okay for kids to have top/bottom surgery. If a boy wants to wear a dress I don’t care, if he wants to play with Barbie’s that’s fine. If he wants to go by she that’s acceptable. But if a boy wants to mutilate himself, no that’s not okay
