I made a mistake removing my propane heater and replacing it with a heat pump. Fantastic at ac not such much for heat if the temps get below 10 degrees. I bought a pioneer unit that’s rated for ultra low temp. For this winter I’m using an unvented propane heater when it gets cold. Wife hates the smell. Next year I’m going to have to add a better secondary heat source. My calculations show for this winter that I’ve saved about 50 gallons per month in oil $200. And because of the new rates the heat pump has cost me about $180 extra per month. Though I expect that to improve now that I’m turning off the heat pump below 20 degrees. But oh well the ac is incredible

I have a similar issue. I have four heat pumps and I keep all four at 68 degrees but my electric bill from Versant has a averaged about $350 the past two months. That's on top of oil for my furnace.

"What does "devoted to your transition" mean? Showing your medical care is now "inappropriate"? Or showing your day to day life as you transition? THAT IS THE DEFINITION OF JUST EXISTING."
No, that is a tik tok dedicated to your experience transitioning. It is not a tik tok where a trans person engages in a regular, non-topical living.
If I skydive and make a vlog about skydiving its a skydiving vlog. If I skydive and appear in videos where I happen to have my parachute in my car but I'm on my way to a concert...
I'm just a skydiver who happens to be on film.
If you can differentiate between targeted, topical content and not then you're not here in good faith.

> It matters because Maine can be pivotal in the national politics of climate. That’s because ours is the only state with both U.S. senators on the Climate Solutions Caucus. That’s the group of 14 senators who will hammer out whatever policy will be voted on by the upper chamber.
In other words, as the writer of this article admits without realizing it, we ALREADY have outsized influence at the federal level. This editorial is just bitching about state organizations not wasting money lobbying senators who are already going to do what they can to protect Maine's environment through national policies. Having worked for Maine Audubon, their focus is state-wide, not federal. As it should be.
And we all fucking know how this symphony goes anyway. All the lobbying in the world won't stop right-wingers from whining, bitching, complaining, and - ultimately - blocking any legislation on climate change and our outdated national policies.

Sorry, we're a "poor state", why not get Massachusetts, New York, and California to pay for it? Or at the very least, have other states step up a bit?
What exactly will throwing money at climate change do anyways? It's not like the can pay the earth to not go through it's normal cycle. I don't think it accepts cash/cards anyways.

Who exactly is this directed towards? They don't even explain how they want you to do this.
