Might be hard to find a plow guy this time of year. I searched and searched and had no luck finding someone to take on a one time job.

You still have to had filed your 2021 tax return regardless. Just having SSI or SSDI is not an automatic qualifier for you to receive the check.

You can mark down 0 as your annual income on the 1040 form and still receive a check, though it might take a long while. That's what my neighbor did and she still hasn't received her check.

Everyone posting here probably frequents these places but we do need a rest with these stupid fucking weed shops. Dregs of society masquerading as some legit business when your really just selling drugs to people, congratulations, what a business model for these ‘entrepreneurs’. Makes me wish they would re-ban. At least in the past there was a sense of shame ass ousted with package stores, now some liberated millennials think that there’s nothing wrong with everyone taking drugs and that it should be celebrated. Obviously we have progressed beyond the 200,000 years of human history.

Can vouch for the Maine Warden's parka, although if there's a strong possibility you're going to be physically active for prolonged periods where you will end up sweating a lot you're going to want to consider parkas using synthetic insulation as mentioned above or maybe a hooded wool coat like those from Johnson Woolen Mills.

You can give Maine Revenue Services a call at (207) 626-8475 to ask about individual income tax questions, but it might be posted somewhere on their website saying how many years back you can file if you don’t normally file.

http://www.maine.gov/revenue/about/taxpayer-rights

You can download the 1040ME back to 2012

When we had this issue, often times we would park near the end of the driveway the night before, (once we checked to see if anyone else would be leaving for the night). Then in the morning we only needed the shovel the end of the drive in order to “escape”.

You’ll likely still have to shovel later, unless the landlord knows a plow guy. But at least you won’t be late for work.

If you have good midlayers, I'd suggest going with an uninsulated shell outer. Your base layer wicks moisture and keeps you dry, and it's the midlayers that give you insulation. the outer layer is your weather resistance. That's what keeps the wind and wet from getting in.

The most versatile and useful cold weather outfit is one where each layer performs its own function, and not more than that. Heavily insulated parkas are great for when you're going to and from your car and buildings. Then you only want one garment to deal with. But for long days out in the cold, keep the functions separate.

As for brands, anything with a Gore-Tex or similar layer is what you want. Patagonia, Arc'teryx, Mountain HardWear are very good brands, as is LLBean. If you're headed to Maine, I'd strongly suggest going to Freeport to shop. The Patagonia outlet there has a 50% off clearance going right now, and LLBean has sales now, in both their main store and in their outlet across the street.
