Pembroke faced a similar issue and the town opted for a moritorium. Leaders there have language and resources to help other towns adopt mining moritoriums in their towns.

LL Bean Wardens Coat. At a minimum, you want a parka that falls below the hip. I am also a believer in detachable hoods (in super cold, I use a hat and the hood) You should research the difference between down and synthetic insulation to be sure you get what will work best for you. The better LL Bean products will last a long time.

I get your sarcasm...
The Camden Snow Bowl is my local, and they've done a GREAT job with the crappy hand they were delt this year.

It’s Saco, perhaps unfamiliar with the state but that far south and in a metropolitan area you’ll have fairly light winters as a whole. They keep up on it down south.
Live up near caribou? You would want a generator.

Create jobs. Make waste. Let government (AKA you and me) pay for cleanup. Rich people laugh at us all the way to the bank.

Could someone please deliver me a parsnip in preparation for the storm? I'd like to put it on my mantle.

No exaggeration, 60+% of all global mining firms are Canadian. If mining is gonna happen, it will almost always be Canadian companies.

Yes, and the sun rises. But not from the west.
Satellite images of the smoke, and then the plume, did not show it moving west. But I've already been over this point.

Yes. I do have some idea of how this shit typically goes, and I'm telling you: power/internet might go out; then again it might not.

I stand corrected. My comment was more about town revenue paying for care and upkeep of the respective general infrastructure, and in this specific case, didn't apply. Thank you!

They're filling vacant spots/renovating old beat up buildings! The one that Farley's is in was an old beat up garage and is supposed to be working on the vacant house next door, Landrace is in what was Ed's Stuff (the place with all the random junk out front of it), and Holistic Alternatives is in one of the units next to the post office (that building needs a heavy overhaul)!

Saco Biddeford and most coastal rarely has power issues. You only really start getting iffy service out in the country
