That’s not what OP asked.

What he’s asking is if the power goes out during every storm. No need to be a turd

If they can do that, why can't the people with the lithium deposit mine theirs?

Bottom line: You moved to Maine. Maine has unpredictable weather, with unpredictable impact on services like electric, cable, and internet. Be prepared. And if you cannot survive a couple hours without certain services, you are living in the wrong place.

Jason Dube at the Keller Williams office by Thompson's Point.
That man worked an absolute miracle for us. Our budget was small, especially for the time we bought, and our timeline was short. We were also young, first-time buyers. He was incredibly patient explaining everything to us, from the process to our loan structure.
We ran into an issue with the deed of the property and the number of lots the house was on, and our lender wasn't willing to work with that. It was looking like it would take a month or longer to sort that paperwork, and our seller was trying to dip out of the deal. I do not know what he did, but he got everything set and squared away in three days.
He also knows a good contractor who did our inspection, and it's been pinpoint accurate. We've been in the house for nearly two years and everything mentioned in the inspection has gone exactly the way the contractor predicted.

Sarah Delisle at Portside is superb. Above and beyond. I’ve bought and sold properties in three states and her and her teams help buying two places— One in SoPo, one in western Maine—was the best.

Their literal experience in this literal particular area that you are asking about is that it's literally unpredictable. Versus other areas where you literally do know for sure it's gonna be out for at least a couple days regardless. It may be out for a couple days, or several hours, or a few minutes, or not at all. It depends on the storm and a variety of other factors. They really are answering your question the best way it's possible to answer it. Ever heard the Maine expression "hard tellin not knowin"? I'd suggest you accept that and move on.

We live in the most heavily forested state in the country, outages aren't predictable but they are inevitable.

Oh good the living representation of the Matt Bors comic is here.
Way to go, Mr. Gotcha. May you rest easy tonight, knowing your noble mission was accomplished.
You really got ‘em.

“Maybe it’s possible the mining can be done in an environmentally sustainable way?”
Has there even been an example of environmentally sustainable extractive industry? Kind of goes against the whole “destroying tons of earth and using caustic chemicals to separate small amounts of minerals from large amounts of rock” process that involves mining.
Also not sure if you’ve been informed but mining companies don’t exactly have the best track record when it comes to caring about…much of anything, including environmental protection or worker safety.

This is what I found too. I bought my house in 2016 and that first year I I lost power every time the wind blew. I bought a generator and barely lose power long enough to fire it up. It’s totally in predictable.

I’ve lived in the downtown area for about 10 years. I’ve never had the power go out from a storm. It always goes out on a clear sunny day with nothing going on. Spectrum on the other hand, if you sneeze, all bets are off.

Yeah I would say the same for Internet as well. Usually back within a matter of hours not days. If you're in North Saco it tends to be a longer wait but even that is dependent on how bad the storm actually is.

Why don’t you fucking get off your own ass and answer the OP’s question? You’re spending more time bitching about people rolling their eyes at this stupid question than in doing something yourself. FFS hahaha what a scrotum

It’s not a matter of guilt. It’s a political organization using its power to influence what was supposed to be an open forum to try to minimize the opposing view. Not sure why it’s a hard concept. The article was pretty straight forward. It’s politics.

I could easily tell someone about outage experience in my old town. I could give examples of prior storms and what areas were losing power on a regular basis.

Asking about Predictability and peoples recent experience in a specific geographic area are very different.
