LPT: Let yourself be photographed at special events, family gatherings and by friends in general, even if you don't like your picture taken for any reason.

My mother passed two years ago. She hated her picture taken and would start arguments and fights over it. I have only about 5 or 6 pictures of her, four of them I either had to sneak or conned her into taking, a faded photo of her and my father from the 1970's and lastly a yearbook photo. I had to use the yearbook photo for her obituary. The other ones had her looking grumpy.

My point is that when you are gone, people are going to miss you and they won't have any photographs to console them or to remember the good times they shared with you. Your friends and family love you and even if you don't like the way you look, they do. Let them photograph you by yourself and with others.

That's like telling people to google their symptoms.

Unless they know what to look for and what they're looking at, it's an overwhelming amount of information they will come across and ultimately not know what to make of it.

Not a single product EVER has not had a single issue.

And you can be damn sure someone posted about it on the internet somewhere sometime.

A full page of results on google of issues on a GPU is only 10 results, with possibly tens of thousands sold. Are you really expecting for 10 posts about some issue to be representative of the whole thing?

My experience with this is that.. I'd look back on pictures of when I was younger and think "wow I looked amazing in that picture".. even though when I first took the picture all I could think about was how terrible I looked.

Depends on where you are and the general situation. I'll assume you're a female, you're alone and not expecting to meet someone you know at the place where you are at that point of time.

Your main objectives are:

A) Get somewhere public and illuminated.

B) Draw someone's attention and let them know of the situation.

C) Ask them to escort you to whatever means of transportation out of that place you have. In case someone is picking you up, asking the person to stick with you until then.

Say you're out downtown at night and you notice some dude is following you.

Ideally, you'd go to a police station and explain what's going on. Sometimes police stations aren't around. Convenience stores might be. A restaurant might be. Some place might be. And most of the time, they are illuminated.

You walk in, grab the attention of the first worker you can and tell them "Hey, I'm Sarah (or whatever name) and there's a guy outside, such and such, following me. Can I stay here for a while?"

Ask them to keep an eye out for the description of the person coming in, and if they come in call the police. Chances are it's not the first time they're stalking someone.

In the meantime you call whoever or call an uber or do whatever you can to get a hold of some safe form of transportation.

Some people are afraid of "making a scene". That doesn't exist when you're talking about your safety. Even if it's just paranoia or a coincidence, better safe than sorry.
