No. Sometimes it's not ok. Especially if it ended in trauma. Life isn't a 90's rom com. Most of the time you need to let it go. Especially if you are a male contacting a female. Please don't call people you haven't talked to in a decade out of the blue.

My ex did that years ago. I broke up with her over it because it was just too much. She kept it up for like an entire date.

Ended up getting back together and married, kids and then divorced over some other narc shit she did.

The other benefit of being able to cook is that you're able to cook. It's a very handy skill to have, one that can be used to impress and charm your friends, romantic interests, colleagues, family, etc.

It's well known in my social circle that my partner and I can cook extremely well and we use that to host dinner parties and keep our friends amused. If you feed people well, they tend to like you more.
