If I had a son that started a family and then abandoned them, I would want to know.

I’ve seen this be a pattern of behavior, my friend’s dad had done that at least 4 different times, and he is still finding “new” siblings.

Find headphones that are comfy for your head. I can wear my Bode QC 35II for hours and hours with no discomfort.

Which ear plugs stretch? I have flare audio minis and they don’t stretch. Also have Loop quiet & experience pro which also don’t stretch.

My suggestion is looking into brokerage outfits. They use remote agents and it’s the type of work you can do while caring for an infant, and while the money isn’t the best walking in, you can very quickly move to making percentage on top of salary once you know the game.

Not sure what your sport is but keep doing it if you can! It doesn’t have to be competitively to enjoy it. I played baseball for 12 years then went to a D1 school which was beyond my level so I never played it again. But I stayed active playing other sports recreationally, and now I do Spartan races to keep that fire going, and I also do online sim racing to give myself something to work at and improve on and compete against other people. There are SO many ways to stay competitive well beyond the years that you’re actually participating in the sport.

I’ll chew gum if I’m anxious/panicky and out in public and/or have to speak. But I kind of start chewing it like a cow eating grass. But I’d rather someone notice that rather than the way I’m breathing or speaking. Can also just put a mask on. Feeling hidden has always calmed me down (hats, hoodies, mask, sunglasses), but also makes me look suspicious.

i try to get the info and use it.

one time i overheard a call about someone picking up some chemical tanks. i had enough to go to the location and pretend to be the guy supposed to pick them up. I was almost going to do it, but then i forgot about the loser by the time i was in my car.

Same. I have mine on 24/7. The rare occasion when I’m home alone, I’ll turn it off. The silence I experience is very strange. Strange in a good way. I wish I could experience this type of silence when going to bed but it’s either the fans white noise or someone talking on the phone with a tv turned up and walking back and forth. Super annoying!!!

It is not crossing a line to tell his parents that their son is a deadbeat. They probably already know that.

As for advice, if you're really insane, learn linux system administration and virtualization. It's not easy by any stretch, but linux and it's virtualization tools are free and the virtualization skills are transferable.
