Be competitive in something else. Marathons, tough mudders, crossfit, triathlons, etc. Plenty of things to channel that competitive fire into.

Being physically unable to play a sport is very different than being able to be involved. Give back to the sport and become a coach. Whether it’s little kids or big kids, they need good adults with your skill.

Why are you not asking for child support? It’s not for you, it’s for your child, and they deserve it.

I go with aggressive shitting. Make sure the folks on the other end get a real earful.

Try it out sometime! I promise it won't be so bad.

Until you hear:
"Wow. I wished for one of these every Christmas, never got one. We were too poor."

Again, stop overthinking basic conversation. It's a pet peeve because you're overthinking it.

Just a bit of caution as learning a new job and taking care of a newborn at the same time will be extremely stressful. Hope it works out for you.

There is a good chance they will be a wonderful surprise and bring a lot of joy. Just casually find out what there favourite toy was, order it up on ebay and watch their face as they are transported back to a magical time in their lives.

That does sound easier to answer. When they say they like everything I'll bet they haven't heard bagpipes lol!

It's a pet peeve of mine - a question that comes up a fair amount when talking to someone new, but always elicits the same kind of response, I find (eg "I like everything except for country")

Do you have money to possibly consider a bootcamp or do you want to self teach? Do you have a degree or no?
For context, I am a self taught backend engineer working in embedded engineering.

I bought enough underwear and socks to last me a month and have enough jeans and tee to rotate for a month a half. Idk if it saves on laundry though cause I have to do now 6-8 loads of laundry

Then you can ask "who are some of your favorite musicians?" I just find listing genres hard and most people say they like everything.
