The people who write not to change don't really get the problem. It's good to be an emotional person, it is however very bad to cry in front of people who want to get back at you. They will see your kindheartedness as a weakness and use it against you. The best defence against a bully is being unfazed

Reply to LPT: If a small business gives you discounts or free item/service to resolve a genuine issue you had with them, don't mention it in public reviews/forums, people will try to take advantage, they'll use your review as precedent and an excuse to be a shitty customer by InevitableNothing460
Whenever I order a cheap item on Amazon that was imported from China I always receive a follow up letter in the mail from the seller offering a Amazon Gift Card in return for a 5-star review. So whenever you see a Chinese item at Amazon with 70% or more 5-star reviews, suspect that this is what is happening. 5-stars (on Amazon) doesn't mean all the time that the object is outstanding. I use to report this to Amazon but they don't really care to hear it and will do nothing about it. But here a way around that. So okay, write that 5-star review. Show these scammers the review online and receive your gift card. Apply the card to your account immediately then delete the review. And return the item! Boom! Money refunded + $25!

Reply to LPT: If you are having trouble serving Ben and Jerry's style tub ice cream. Instead of trying to scoop it with a spoon, use a knife to slice a piece of ice cream, and then peel off the ring of cardboard tub that you chopped off with it. by JustElzi
How do I close it properly if I cut part of the ice cream container?

I understand how you feel. Practice allowing yourself to get angry and stick up for yourself. I used to end up crying when I had to stick up for myself because I was so bad at confrontation. After years of practicing it’s gotten better.
A handy trick for not crying is deep breathing. When you feel yourself starting to cry, start a deep breathing technique.

Most people “gun sight” their side mirrors which is only ok if you have convex (aka bubble) mirrors also, otherwise it leaves massive blind spots at your 4:00 and 8:00. Reply to LPT: Don't look at your clock when waking up during the night to increase your quality of sleep. It's a lot easier to fall back asleep when you don't keep track of the sleeping time you still have left. by migudude
Sometimes I think I slept for 5 mins and it’s actually 2 hours - so yes, seeing time if you have work or have somewhere to be is important

My initial thoughts/self talk are always negative. It takes a lot of practice to ignore those thoughts but it is crucial for our happiness to try and turn them into positive thoughts.
Your brain is a muscle and right now it's impusles are to be negative. So it will take time to rebuild that muscle to think positively. You are retraining yourself. It takes time and a lot of effort, but you can do it.
Keep working on yourself every day. You are worth it. The results are worth it. You got this!

This is the way.
-
Determine when you need another car, washing machine, etc.
-
Figure out how much money you need to save each month to hit that goal.
-
Put money in the sinking fund each month.

Counterpoint: if I read an anecdote like the one in the title, I will believe it. If I read "excellent customer service" I will suspect it's a fake review.
