LPT: if you're looking to change someone's opinions while offering nothing in exchange, you may keep your unsolicited advice/ information to yourself.

People do not care and will simply hate you because you're wasting their time. You've already lost before you begin.

Yes. Not answering doesn't work because it goes to voice-mail. Some will leave messages that you then need to delete which usually takes more time than just answering and hitting mute. But all will continue to flag it as an active line and will continue calling and may also sell your number to others increasing the number of calls you get.

I do this, and yeah, it tails off in a matter of weeks or days, where ignoring them just has them trying again later.

I did this on my personal phone and it seemed to work, so when my colleague and I got new work phones, I tried it again. My spam calls dropped off almost immediately, while she said she kept getting spam for months at last I heard before leaving the company.

I do this too! Answer, clear my throat, then mute and listen. A human can tell I answered, but most robocalls miss it, or if they do hear it, I've already muted the line.

My spam calls tailed off way faster than when I used to ignore it completely, because at no answer they still keep trying. Playing dead seems to get you off the list way faster

'' OK how about this PhD's essay, It proves me right because X Y and Z ''

'' No, that doesn't work''

''Why not ? ''

'' Cuz i don't like the guy who wrote the essay'' - proceeds to ad hominem the shit out of the PhD without reading a single word he wrote

The scanner/copy idea others mentioned is good, but I would ask some local professional photographers if they would be willing to help.

Depending on the type or thickness glass, it might be difficult for a scanner to get a clear image, in which case a DSLR camera might be able to copy it better. A photographer, especially one who knows art reproductions/documentation would be able to re-photograph it without glare.

Photographers understand the deeply personal value of photographs like this, I’m sure you could find one who would volunteer to help or do it for a small fee.

That's a bad "life pro tip". If you're trying to free someone like a friend or family member from the indoctrination of a cult you can't do this shit. It'll only prove, in their minds, that you're not actually concerned with them but only proving yourself right.

To a lesser degree, this also applies to people who have fallen into traps of bigotry and false ideologies.

You uh may wanna get your kids checked. Maybe they need glasses? Or some directed supervised learning? Not to be mean, but I'll be mean: any kid not noticing that is slow or blind.

MOST children will notice if they have a sliver of crust left after you cut the crust off. Or I've had tons of kids refuse to eat an ice cream they bought because the eyes were wonky.
