I worked in a frame shop for a few years, and unfortunately what people are saying is the exact advice I would have given.

If you can remove the glass, picture and backing from the frame without the glass shifting that's going to make it the easiest to get a good scan. If that's not an option you can try carefully breaking the frame off from around it. You want to be sure you don't crack the glass.

If you can get some decent quality scans r/estoration can often touch it up. From there you can get some new prints, and preserve it properly.

Related PSA, if you want to preserve something don't let it touch the glass. Use a pH neutral mat board, or some spacers to keep it separated.

I would take it to a photocopier shop, or someone with a flatbed scanner and get the best quality scan of it they can offer. It will be far superior to anything a phone can capture. This will be better without the frame if it is not flat, but make no attempt to remove the photo from the glass, it will just get damaged.

They're not going to ever say nothing, the real LPT is to end the conversation when they ignore that question altogether. Granted it's not 100% guarantee that someone can preconceive of positive evidence that they didn't know of beforehand, but the point is not to show them they're wrong but that they are arguing in bad faith.

Dunno, it is something religious people like to try. "What if God came down tomorrow and showed himself, would you believe then?". I just think it kinda depends really, that is all very theoretical. Even accepting that possibility they see as a win. What would it take to change my mind on evolution - I guess absolutely rewriting basic biology, hundreds of years of understanding, thousands of peer reviewed papers and the teachings of millions of eminent scientists who all would flip it on its head. That is the same as "nothing" essentially. Or to somehow believe in magic.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I would love to discuss politics with you. I don't discuss world events with anyone anymore because it feels like the average person just parrots the one news media source they watch.

The heel of the bread, otherwise known as the yuck. Is the period at the end of the scentence, it is a dead-end, its a disconnect tone when someone hangs up. It's the flat line of food.

And a horrible, horrible lie.

And maybe just tell them Santa isn't real as soon as they learn to talk. That's disappointing, too.

Tell them they're adopted even if they're not, another suitable lie.

A peanut butter sandwich can gain you a lifetime of trust. But the heel of the bread might loose it forever.

Don't risk it.

Makes sense although if you use Google or socials or any product of that kind the hijacking links is last of your problems

Nice LPT, you should try the extension I don't care about cookies. Pretty good. It prevents cookies from showing up and will protect some of your privacy

I never used it, I can trust Firefox from years of using it and then that story about brave hijacking links broke and although I'm sure it's fixed now the privacy aspect still concerns me
