I believe it’s not illegal to have sex between an adult and minor so long as the parents consented. That was the purpose of the ultimatum. If you don’t understand, I can’t help you further.
I’m not sure what makes you believe these laws aren’t in effect all across the world, but they are, and your saying the law is backwards probably means your country’s laws are backwards as well, especially if the law doesn’t exist there. The law was put in place to protect people and families from child predators and well as protecting people who consent, from the law. If you think that’s backwards you’re obviously not American enough to have a shred of intelligence.
