You’re talking about PFAS and the host of per-fluorinatid acids that are being produced. Essentially, these are found in waterproof clothing (DWR textile), non-stick pans, fire extinguisher and a host of other household items (even food wax paper wrappers). These don’t break down and are now found everywhere. Human health outcomes are reduced as a result. Not sure if they accumulate in lakes, but we know they’re present throughout the world - even in the Arctic regions.

Canada has a lot of lakes that have algae / micro-organisms in it that make it unsafe for humans to drink the water or in many cases even swim in.

Is there a temperature that the lake could get to where the living things in the lake would be unable to hurt you?

I live near the shoreline of lake you wouldn't want to swim in, but was thinking in the winter if I cut a portion of the 8" thick ice, I could install a ladder and do polar dips.

Does everything gross just live under the ice for the most part during winter?

We may experiment with with that as we add/change rewards but we want those Top 2 Prizes to feel really special and exclusive. We still make sure to load up the Milestones with currency on the new Sl-eazy Minis though so that there's still a lot of other dope stuff to play for!

These are all great ideas. You've been kinda scraping the bottom of the barrel for characters lately anyways, use these. Hell, the spreadsheet one is great. Those pricks deserve it for all they have done for the users and the game over the years.

What about a lighter for a character? have it be some fucked up version from one of their trips they take when they are high.

Great. A speed boost or 3 would be perfect.

If you want some character ideas, as lame as they may be, how about 9 cans of ravioli, a piss jug, and actual pepperoni cock, chicken fingers, the good kind, or a spreadsheet (you know, for those dicks that make all those guides for the game and events)

Good question!

We have monitored the ice thickness on our main reference lake (Lake 239) since 1969.

The maximum ice thickness we have found on this lake was 82 cm, found in March 15th, 1999 (we can easily check our PostgreSQL master database). Lake 239, like many boreal lakes is fairly small (approx. 50 hectares).

From 2016 to 2019 we also undertook a study in collaboration with Natural Resources Canada that used Ground Penetrating Radar to examine how lake ice thickness was influenced by lake size. In general, our results indicated that as lake size increases, so does the maximum thickness of the ice. The difference from the smallest lake (4 hectares) to the largest lake (2400 hectares) in our study was approximately 40 cm. The apparent cause of the difference was the amount of snow cover. Larger lakes have less accumulation of snow on them due to the higher windspeeds that pushed the snow to the lake edges. The lack of snow meant these lakes were less insulated from the cold air temperatures... and more ice developed.

Hi! So a new business is something that comes up every now and then, but it's not something that's being worked on right now. That being said, that doesn't mean that we''re against the idea of one day adding a new one again down the road. I'd have a lot of fun coming up with things that Ricky would sell at his Used $#!T store!
