Through the due course of our relationship, isn't it possible for her to heal? Show her what love is in its truest sense

Severe depression and SI for 54 years, but all I have to do is wait for something good to happen. Thanks for the fix. :(

This is an old proverb, hundreds of years old. Why do people think it's a quote from FDR?

My preferred alternative, paragraph 3 of
Good Timber by Douglas Malloch
Good timber does not grow with ease:
The stronger wind, the stronger trees;
The further sky, the greater length;
The more the storm, the more the strength.
By sun and cold, by rain and snow,
In trees and men good timbers grow.

I needed to remember that whatâs hard now will change because everything changes.
May the good vibes youâre putting out return unto you tenfold!

Heard this recently and it quickly became a mantra of sorts for me:
âIâm not afraid to be seen trying.â

Wrong. One thing can knock out a leg and completely destroy the integrity and function of an institution. Take the example of one sexual assault and abuse case against the Catholic Church - it has never recovered the piety, integrity and trust that existed before that - it is a huge body, standing on very thin, weak legs.
The fact that it still exists isnât the point, itâs that fact that itâs massive, portrayed as one thing, but is very much not what it seems.
Iâm not going to keep explaining this to your or arguing your incorrect interpretations or beliefs. Itâs a good metaphor - you just seem to be fawning over institutions and how big and powerful they are - look at education, the economy, healthcare, justice, the family - most of what is spoken about in current events is how EVERY SINGLE ONE is broken.
Bye.

Yeah. Just wait. Always people telling you to wait. Good things are coming if you just wait. Even tho they have no idea, no clue what is coming. But wait. Suffer some more. Because life is precious and if you aren't alive to suffer how will you wait ?

Today has been a rough day (given my deep lack of sleep of last night), this week has been long. Life has been rough for the last while, & as much as am keeping myself up & performing to better myself for me, I surely needed to read these words.
Thank you, kind stranger! I wish you the best, & support you too !

These are all woefully optimistic. Reality is often much more grim than your observation on the surface level.
