"Sorry" is just cultural, it's not an actual heartfelt apology. It's not a sign someone has a horrifying lack of self esteem. It already is saying thank you for letting me take up your time. It's saying hey I imposed a little and I realize that.

One of the weirdest things about the past 10 or so years is how literal everyone in the US has become. Every culture has little things little linguistic tics, they are not meant to be taken at 100% literal face value. This is like, why have we lost a connection with our culture, why do we have to be 1000% literal and explicit like it's a nursery school? Things like this meme are utterly bizarre to me.

You know what? That’s a position of leverage. Apparently they depend on you a lot more now littlefops and middlefops just quick. So use that leverage, and don’t back down. They need you.

Also, if everyone is quitting start looking around.

Try it before you knock it. Life isn't what you make it out to be. For better or for worse, I've been surprised by different reactions and different results when I do something different from my own perspective.

The point is to take the first step in being a more positive person. Being positive can have positive effects on people. The next problem is keeping it.

I had my little brother over helping me out with the mulch. Like 15 minutes in I'm like ok break time. He's like I'm not even tired yet, and when I take breaks I have a hard time going back to work.

I told him yeah it's because you don't take a break until you're already tired. If you take breaks before you get tired you can work for much longer.

Right!? I see some of these posters sometimes, and they're so out of touch with the reality of most people in America. A friend of my just had to go to a mandatory meeting where the CEO of the company started emphasizing the importance of self care, encouraging them to take spaw days or go to the chiro while paying them shit and sending emails with shit like "Although overtime is optional, hear at xyz we highly encourage it."

Nah man i take a 2 day/4week break when i run outta battery when i dont have my phone i just use my laptop since the charger port is right beside my bed my reasoning is that i watch my phone in bed while midnight and that if i dont have my phone then i can sleep cause my laptop has light laptops are big = it has too much light and it would take up space for the blanket and my parents would see the light meaning i would get scolded meaning i cant talk too my friends and that i would not have sleep time i sleep at 2am in January for 4days and i couldnt sleep in march theres no more phone 4 me since i did not charge my phone

Sounds good on paper.

In practice I am being a burden that no one really looks forward to dealing with and I need to be self aware and communicate that I’m aware of that in order to not seem needy/entitled and scare people away.
