Sympathy as in "being a yes man"/"be the team player mindset" that these corps/HR "motivators" push.

That whole mentality only works in small teams that don't have big budgets.

It's more of the "Yes man" mindset if you are financially sound. As you can quit without worry on bills

If the options were ours to take, everyone would choose success and as a result failures would become more desirable. Fortunately it's not. He on the other hand makes it sound like it is, which is probably true for him in most cases because, well he's got money and influence etc, but not so accurate for us common folk and believing in such statements may more often than not result in disappointment. On the other hand if the gentleman said, success is my desirable option, failure is not. That would be a much better statement.

It took some effort but I think i was able to successfully shit on another one of these misdirecting motivational quotes.

It's funny how Eminem the boundary transgressor turned into a milquetoast good boy eager to support any direction political winds are blowing. Went from punk rock to a stuffy 1950's corporate trope.

Let me tell you something. I’ve started over so many times. I’m sick of it. It’s fucking brutal to have to scrape up from the bottom over and over. I hate it. Now I’m just ready to be over. But I’m still to far down to stop. Life is a scam.

Depends on context in my opinion. It’s understandable for kids or when you want to appear reliable for those that need it. Terrible as a 24/7 policy. Obviously don’t bottle it all up, but there’s a time, place, and audience for when you need to let the walls down in my opinion
