I’m in the same boat.

Super amazing husband who cherishes me, moved to a beautiful Baltic country and experiencing snow for the first time, got a massive promotion in my finance career and my workplace is funding my studies to get further if I want to, the only thing that would make it all complete is our own cute lil apartment būt i don’t even mind renting here as prices are so low compared to how much we make

I’m trying to walk more and appreciate nature, that’s my goal. I’m only 29 but I lived in a tropical island my whole life and I’m now somewhere with an abundance of nature and forests and my goal is to embrace that 🥹

People think I should want more but my life is literally perfect for us and I want ways to embrace that daily instead of looking to add things

I mean... For some people (myself included) achieving peak fitness IS a real need that we want to fulfill in our lifetimes. Just the same as any other bucket list item.

But then again, we really don't NEED to become as buff as the warriors of old... Like just general strength to handle your life is all you need, everything else is really just picking up metal and putting it back down.

SURE

Let's say you have a leaking pipe at home. You notice that your furniture is being harmed by water that is collecting on the floor. You clean up the water and set a bucket underneath the leak to catch the drips. You don't, however, repair the leaky pipe itself.

The leaky pipe is the primary culprit in this situation. You have not resolved the root problem by just treating the visible symptoms (the water damage). The leak will therefore continue to show up in different ways. For instance, the pouring water in the bucket could draw bugs or encourage the growth of mould in your house.

If you merely deal with the symptoms and ignore the leaky pipe's fundamental cause, the issue will continue to have detrimental effects in various ways. This also holds true when trying to cure a disease's symptoms without treating its underlying cause or when attempting to fix a software defect without dealing with the underlying code problem.
