Braiding as an alternate method fits the analogy pretty well. Braiding is slower but you are also less likely to lose progress.

Come back and tell us how you're doing at 3p.m. it's not sustainable.

Welcome to the wonderful world of exercise for treating your depression. Honestly the most effective, if difficult to administer, treatment I know. One of the most depression relieving moments I've ever had was a few months ago riding my bike 20 miles at 11 at night. I just needed some escape and release and it felt so goddamn good.

You're clearly taking his lifestyle as some sort of personal attack.
He is living within his means. Living within your means might look different to you and that's ok.

Same here. Undiagnosed/unaware ASD until two years ago, I took years off of school before that, then went back last year with accommodations and doing much better.
Accommodations make a huge difference for me, I’ll never understand why people push their gd chairs back so loudly during a test. Get me away from these mfers and in a darker room with a white noise machine, boom, tests are 10x easier to bear

That’s actually quite accurate! To answer your concerns, for (single phase) AC like in many outlets, ground (the reference voltage) is most convenient to be the same as earth (0V). For this reason calling earth “ground” is fine, as more often than not it’s both earth and ground.
Just to add, any voltage you use often in a circuit as a reference (say for comparators for example) is called a reference ground. So if you split 0 to 5 V in half, and keep using 2.5 V for various comparison purposes, the 2.5 V could be called a reference ground.

You’re not wrong…3am is mainly because of work but also part of the reason I never exercised is because I have social anxiety and don’t want to exercise around people so the 3am thing kinda helps lol. I’ll check out that app though thanks! And maybe once I get more confidence I’ll be able to run in the afternoon or evening or something. Or maybe mornings will be amazing for me and I’ll love it who knows :)

Never too late to do the right thing..keep on adding 10% every week and see where you will land in 6 months..you don’t need to run at 3 AM..anytime is a good time for run..Try using some app like Runkeeper to keep track of your progress..proud of you 👌👌
