So for me, 10,000 steps is approximately 8km or 5 miles, a few websites seem to use the following figures to describe activity levels though I would dispute the highly active term as that should be higher in my mind
- Sedentary is less than 5,000 steps per day
- Low active is 5,000 to 7,499 steps per day
- Somewhat active is 7,500 to 9,999 steps per day
- Active is more than 10,000 steps per day
- Highly active is more than 12,500

When I ran xc in high school I had the Pokémon step counter that connected to Pokémon heart gold and soul silver after our practice I would have like 20k steps every day and that’s my only frame of reference

Honestly, go cry first. It's ok to not be ok. Let yourself feel that pain, process what you need to process, and get help if you need it.
Stand up strong when you are ready, but it's ok if today you need to deal with some stuff. It takes way more strength to deal with the hard stuff then it does to put on a fake smile when you are hurting.

Volunteering is a fantastic option, especially if you can find something tangential or complementary to your desired jobs. For example, volunteering at a park or kids camp can count towards experience for getting a job in environmental advocacy or National Park Service, even if it’s in a different role.
