Read the FBI quote I posted. It's about more than just the recent report.

The report itself was rated low confidence. So youre saying you dont care about the actual report you only care about how you feel when one man says soemthing.

There always is.
Source: just watched the same thing happen for Au from a wunderkind firm from Houston. Small test pad even showed promise. It is incredibly variable on a production leach pad.

Again, two unrelated things.

This would be interesting to see in action on something boring like volcanic ash or phosphate deposits. That stuff is all over. Wash it with hot water and then let the bacteria get after it all.

He didn't, the report itself was rated low confidence. His assessment is that it is the most likely scenario.
"The FBI has for quite some time now assessed that the origins of the pandemic are most likely a potential lab incident,"
Direct quote from FBI Director Wray

Why did he rate it as "low confidence"? Youre ignoring his own actions for your feelings. Also the FBI is not investigating shit in china, youre confusing them with other agencies

I don't feel that the FBI head now thinks it is the most likely scenario, it's a fact that he does based on countless pieces of information he has, that we don't get to see.
The narrative around this is quickly changing.
But believe whatever you want. The origins of COVID isn't settled yet so I'm open to seeing what else is uncovered. Maybe it was from animals.

End of discussion.

I saw a poster on US scientists doing this last summer.

It's gone from crazy conspiracy theory in 2020 to something the FBI, which stands for Federal Bureau of Investigations, now says is the most likely cause, and other health organizations like the WHO starting it's a definite possibility.
So yes, it is.

This will not negate the need to initially mine the REE's. The 'wastewater' they are talking about it wastewater from mining.

Thanks for the nuance.
Extraction, processing, then manufacturing, while keeping transport costs low, and low environmental regulations.
Including the chemicals/dyes required for each step being readily available.
Add in the power costs for powering the buildings and equipment.
It’s a lot to overcome if West wants to create leverage

Suppose the Chinese screwed up, which is not 100% proven.
If humans can't even work with a bio hazard appropriatly, I suppose we will screw up AI too.

Whoa! Escaping from a lab? That is a hypothesis without support. No one knows how it was introduced, but we do know that it wasn't engineered. Any naturally occurring virus could have infected humans while being studied in a lab. We'll never know.
AI isn't sentient. There's no skynet, etc. AI systems are not going to infect the internet and take over. This is science fiction for now. No one even has a reasonable approach to make AI sentient. Every attempt so far hasn't even come close.
Most AI systems are task based. You train them, given them input, and they produce results. There is no consciousness involved.

>What are the odds that Covid-19 was first reported in the very city (Wuhan) where research is done on such viruses in a specialized institute.
What?
Why wouldn't they put it in close proximity to where viruses come from?
You want them to gather infected animals and move them 100s of miles away?

How can we trust our phones to charge quickly when we can’t even predict the weather with 100% accuracy?
How can Angela Bassett do the thing when the stock market is so volatile?
See, I can compare unrelated things to each other too.

It could if it had the refinery capabilities. China is set to continue enjoying an 80% share of the global refining of the vital metals, but tech like this may change that dynamic, quicker than China hopes. The US, UK and Canada are all in process of constructing facilities, that I am aware of, but likely more.

Move to general AI will be overnight and I presume faster than we anticipate. Keeping track of current hardware and software developments is the best indicator of when, I'd say ~5 years for some significant paradigm leaps.
As for Covid, another thing to note is the extremely quick and strong response of the Chinese, never mind the source. They had a pretty good idea of repercussions. Not just health, there are major shifts in geopolitics and China is a big part of it.

I mean, you just keep repeating your feelings that the fbi is somehow the most reliable of all the agencies and despite the other agencies not agreeing we should for some reason trust the fbi.

Again, facts not feelings.
